On November 17th, the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department (hereinafter referred to as the Cyber Security Department) of the Da Nang City Police successfully dismantled a large-scale inter-provincial online gambling ring.
Around May 2024, Nguyen Duy Khanh (45 years old, residing in Hoa Cuong Nam ward, Hai Chau district, Da Nang city) contacted a man named Teo (whose identity and background are unknown) to obtain a Super Master account on the online betting site “www.bong88.com” with the code V39B1.

Later, Khanh connected with many others to form a large-scale online gambling ring.
Khanh used the aforementioned super-level account to split it into multiple websites, which he then distributed to lower-level gamblers to organize gambling activities in the form of sports betting.
Following an investigation, on November 16th, the Cyber Security Department, in coordination with other units, mobilized nearly 100 officers and soldiers, divided into 12 task forces in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, to simultaneously raid and arrest Nguyen Duy Khanh and 11 other individuals involved in the network.
Police determined that from May 2024 until their arrest, the group operated an illegal gambling ring with approximately 2 trillion VND in transactions.
