The 12th Viet Stamp Exhibition with the theme "Forever worthy of the name of Uncle Ho's soldiers" took place at the Museum of the Armed Forces of the Southeast Region, as an activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day.
According to Mr. Hoang Anh Thi, Chairman of Viet Stamp Club, the exhibition is also one of many activities to attract public attention to the culture of stamp collecting and collecting revolutionary memorabilia in Vietnam.
This is also an opportunity for collectors to express their passion, introduce their collection results, and thereby promote the culture of stamp collecting and revolutionary memorabilia collection, contributing to educating the young generation about patriotism and revolutionary traditions.
With the theme 'Forever worthy of the name of Uncle Ho's soldiers', the exhibition introduces 5 stamp collections on the sea and islands of the Fatherland and the Vietnam People's Army by 5 collectors from Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, An Giang, Kien Giang; along with 3 collections of revolutionary memorabilia by 3 young collectors from Ho Chi Minh City, Kien Giang, Binh Phuoc.
At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, in addition to launching the stamp and revolutionary memorabilia collection group 'Sao Do', Viet Stamp also announced the establishment of the Youth Committee, aiming to develop the stamp collecting movement among young people, and through them spread the special values and meanings of postage stamps and the culture of stamp collecting to the community.
