The exhibition will provide and introduce to cadres, party members, students and pupils of Binh Thuan province historical and legal documents and evidence affirming Vietnam's sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa.
On October 3 and 4, at Ly Thuong Kiet High School and Nguyen Truong To High School, La Gi town (Binh Thuan), the Department of Information and Communications in coordination with the Department of Education and Training of the province, and the People's Committee of La Gi town organized the digital exhibition "Hoang Sa, Truong Sa of Vietnam - Historical and legal evidence."
This is a practical activity to introduce and disseminate historical and legal documents and evidence affirming Vietnam's sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa; promote information and propaganda about the sea and islands, and bring information directly to cadres, teachers and students in the province.
Mr. Nguyen Le Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Binh Thuan province, affirmed that for generations, Hoang Sa and Truong Sa have become sacred and familiar places for every Vietnamese person.
Throughout history, our people have explored, established and exercised sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa consistently and continuously.
This is recorded in Vietnam's historical documents and records, and is internationally recognized in many other documents, maps and administrative texts.
With authentic, objective and specific historical evidence, the digital exhibition “Hoang Sa and Truong Sa of Vietnam - Historical and legal evidence” will provide and introduce to cadres, party members, students of Binh Thuan province, including La Gi town, historical and legal documents and evidence affirming Vietnam's sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa.
Ms. Dang Thi Hong Lam, Vice Chairwoman of the People's Committee of La Gi town, said that the digital exhibition format is very suitable in the context of the whole province focusing on digital transformation. The exhibition helps raise awareness among officials, teachers and students about the role, importance and potential of Vietnam's seas and islands, and Binh Thuan province. Thereby, raising the awareness and responsibility of each citizen in protecting the sacred sovereignty of the seas and islands of the Fatherland.
At the exhibition, a reporter from the Provincial Border Guard Command introduced information, historical and legal evidence on Vietnam's sovereignty over the sea and islands of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa; the potential and advantages of the sea and islands in developing the marine economy, information on the current situation of the sea and islands...
The reporters also answered students' questions related to sea and island sovereignty./.
