The international exhibition on agricultural machinery (Agritechnica Asia Vietnam 2025) was held for the first time in Vietnam with the participation of more than 200 units from 25 countries and thousands of experts from across the agricultural value chain.

On the afternoon of February 12, in Ho Chi Minh City, the German Agricultural Association (DLG), the National Agricultural Extension Center (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) and the Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper co-chaired the meeting to announce the AGRITECHNICA ASIA Vietnam 2025 Exhibition, with the theme "Promoting green initiatives in Southeast Asia".
The exhibition is held from March 12 to 14 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC).
"Our main goal is to introduce the world's most advanced technologies to Vietnamese farmers, businesses and cooperatives. These are the producers who are constantly pioneering innovation, aiming for smart agriculture and reducing emissions," Mr. Peter Grothues, member of the DLG Market Council, informed at the press conference.
According to the organizers, the program will focus on advanced technologies in key agricultural sectors such as rice, sugarcane, corn, food crops, coffee and fruits...
Corporations that own the world's leading agricultural technology brands such as Agco, Claas... all aim to implement programs to support small and large-scale farmers in both improving productivity and maintaining sustainability.
The leader of the National Agricultural Extension Center affirmed that mechanization in agriculture is an important issue and is of great concern to the Government, especially for areas with developed agriculture such as the Mekong Delta, Central Highlands...
Therefore, this exhibition is very practical, expected to create great values for the industry.
However, many experts believe that in order to effectively mechanize, the State needs to implement more solutions to support loans for farmers and businesses; and plan large-scale growing areas.
In addition, the machinery researched and transferred must be suitable for the reality of production mainly on a small and medium scale in Vietnam, the requirements set forth in green development.
In addition to the exhibition, AGRITECHNICA ASIA VIETNAM will have important knowledge exchange activities through conferences, seminars and workshops with the participation of more than 60 expert speakers.
The sessions will address key challenges and opportunities in the region with contributions from leading organizations such as the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), the German Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food (BMEL), GIZ and the United Nations Centre for Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization (UNESCAP)...
AGRITECHNICA ASIA is the leading agricultural trade fair organized by DLG. Building on the legacy of AGRITECHNICA in Hannover, (Germany), which has been showcasing agricultural technology since 1985, the event was launched in Bangkok, (Thailand) to serve the diverse agricultural needs of Asia.
