The opening ceremony of the exhibition will take place at 6:30 p.m. on April 26, 2025 at the exhibition area on Nguyen Hue walking street. The exhibition aims to widely disseminate the significance, stature and great historical value of the 1975 Spring General Offensive and Uprising, culminating in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign that achieved great victory, liberating the South and unifying the country. On the other hand, exploiting and popularizing the historical and cultural values of archived documents and cinematographic materials through works, clips, images, film materials... to the general public in order to arouse and promote the tradition of patriotism, revolutionary heroism, and the will to fight and win of our people in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Many activities will take place from April 18 to 25, such as film screenings and exchanges with historical figures on the theme "50 years of radiant spring of reunification" organized by the Vietnam Film Institute in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City at universities and libraries in the city, creating an exciting atmosphere among students, youth and readers.
Within the framework of Vietnam Film Week, the theme of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with the Vietnam Film Institute organized a public film screening program on Nguyen Hue walking street, District 1. The public film screening program focused on introducing typical cinematographic works that were voted and honored on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.
It is expected that at 7:30 p.m. on April 27 and 28, 2025, at the exhibition area and outdoor stage on Nguyen Hue walking street, there will be exchange programs with film experts and public film screenings including the following films: Wild Field, City at Dawn, meeting the film crew of Tunnels - Sun in the Dark by director Bui Thac Chuyen.
A series of cultural and sports activities in response to the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification took place enthusiastically at the following locations: In front of the headquarters of the City People's Council and People's Committee; Nguyen Hue - Le Loi pedestrian area; Nguyen Hue - Mac Thi Buoi pedestrian area; Nguyen Hue - Ngo Duc Ke pedestrian area; Saigon River area, in front of Ben Bach Dang Park - "Uncle Ho's City Colors" Festival took place on April 19, April 26, April 29 and April 30, 2025.
