Photo exhibition "From Dien Bien Phu Victory to the Great Spring Victory of 1975"

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); 71 years of Dien Bien Phu Victory (1954 - 2025) and 135 years of President Ho Chi Minh 's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City branch organized the exhibition "From Dien Bien Phu Victory to the Great Victory of Spring 1975".

The exhibition includes 150 documentary photos, diagrams, excerpts and is presented in 3 parts:

Part I: “ Dien Bien Phu Campaign in 1954”, introduces the plan of the French Army, the wise direction of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, the strategic decisions of the Campaign Command, the glorious battles, the heroic fighting examples, the great contributions of the Vietnam People's Army, the developments, significance, stature and influence of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.

Part II: “ Ho Chi Minh Campaign 1975”, recreating the historical journey from Dien Bien Phu to the Great Victory of Spring 1975; affirming the inheritance and promotion of the Dien Bien Phu spirit; demonstrating the remarkable maturity of our army and people; ending neo-colonialism, completing the cause of liberating the South, and unifying the country.

Part III: “ Economic development potential of Dien Bien province and Ho Chi Minh City”, introduces the special national relic of Dien Bien Phu Battlefield and some outstanding historical and cultural relics of the province, typical events and festivals, the beauty of the land and people of Dien Bien, the cultural and tourism potential of the province; the development achievements of Ho Chi Minh City.

Through the exhibition, we aim to honor and pay tribute to the great contributions and achievements of President Ho Chi Minh in the two resistance wars against the French and the American imperialists of the Vietnamese people. At the same time, we promote and introduce the stature and significance of the Dien Bien Phu Victory in 1954 associated with the Great Victory of Spring 1975; educate the younger generation about patriotism, national pride and the indomitable fighting spirit of previous generations; affirm the wise leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh, the spirit of great national unity and the strength of the Vietnam People's Army.

The exhibition takes place from April 15, 2025 - May 7, 2025, at the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City branch.
