On the VietinBank side, there were: Mr. Nguyen Tran Manh Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors (BOD) and General Director; Mr. Tran Cong Quynh Lan - Deputy General Director; Mr. Le Viet Duc - Director of the Retail Division. Circular 17/TT-NHNN and Circular 18/TT-NHNN of the SBV officially took effect from January 1, 2025. The circulars directly affect money transfer/withdrawal transactions, payments on accounts, cards for customers (KH) who have not updated biometrics and identification documents. VietinBank has proactively deployed many solutions and continuously communicated to help customers grasp and collect biometrics and update their identification documents. Accordingly, customers can use the VietinBank iPay Mobile digital channel or go to nearly 1,000 VietinBank transaction offices to complete this collection. To date, VietinBank has deployed biometric collection for more than 83% of customers operating on the digital channel. Within the framework of cooperation, VietinBank and RAR Center will deploy electronic authentication service via VNeID on VietinBank iPay Mobile . This is an important event, marking a development milestone for both units in applying modern technology to bring safe services and maximum convenience to customers.

Representatives of VietinBank and RAR Center signed a cooperation agreement to deploy customer authentication service via VneID with VietinBank iPay Mobile
The event also represents a new step forward in VietinBank 's digital transformation strategy ; at the same time, it affirms VietinBank 's strong commitment to implementing the Prime Minister's Project 06 on "Developing applications of population data, identification and electronic authentication, serving national digital transformation in the period 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030" and Plan No. 01/KHPH-BCA-NHNN on implementing tasks in Project 06. Now , VietinBank customers can use the VNeID application to collect biometrics and update identification documents. This integrated implementation brings many great meanings:- Enhanced security and confidentiality : VNeID application is built on an advanced technology platform, ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of customers' personal information, helping to effectively prevent fraud and counterfeiting, ensuring risk prevention for customers' accounts.
- Enhance customer experience : Accordingly, customers only need to log in to VietinBank iPay Mobile , choose to update customer information via the link with VNeID and follow the instructions without having to go to the transaction counter. Integrating VietinBank iPay Mobile with VNeID helps the customer experience become seamless and optimal.
- Promoting the development of digital banking and contributing to the development of the digital economy and society : The implementation of electronic authentication services through VNeID on VietinBank iPay Mobile not only brings benefits to customers and VietinBank ; but also contributes to promoting cashless payments, improving the efficiency of economic operations. At the same time , it contributes to actively supporting the Government in building an e-Government, towards a modern digital society.
