Implementing the Politburo's conclusion on improving the quality of foreign information work

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, Head of the Central Steering Committee for External Information Work chaired the conference. At the Binh Thuan bridge, the conference was attended by Comrade Nguyen Hoai Anh - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and leaders of departments, branches and sectors of the province.

At the conference, the Central Steering Committee for External Information Work reported on the 10-year implementation of Conclusion No. 16 of the Politburo on the "Strategy for developing external information for the period 2010 - 2020". Accordingly, it was affirmed that external information work has been effectively developed and implemented, contributing to promoting the image and potential of the country, arousing patriotism, national pride, and aspirations for national development of all classes of people, mobilizing domestic and international resources. At the same time, enhancing the country's position and prestige in the international arena, consolidating and developing cooperative relations with countries and international organizations, and foiling the sabotage plots of hostile forces.

The conference also thoroughly grasped the core content and provided guidance on implementing Conclusion No. 57 of the Politburo, emphasizing: External information work is an important part of the Party's political, ideological and foreign affairs work, state diplomacy, and people's diplomacy; it is a regular and long-term task of the entire political system under the leadership of the Party.

Conclusion No. 57 of the Politburo requires constant innovation of content and diversification of foreign information methods according to the motto "Proactive, synchronous, timely, creative, effective", suitable to the needs of domestic and foreign subjects, regions and areas. Closely connect, synchronously deploy, with focus and key points between foreign information and domestic information, between Party diplomacy, State diplomacy and people's diplomacy.

Concluding the conference, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia requested ministries, branches and localities to promote information and propaganda on Conclusion No. 57 of the Politburo with practical, specific and appropriate content. Continue to innovate in the content and methods of foreign information on the basis of strongly applying scientific and technological achievements and digital transformation; mobilize domestic and foreign resources to serve foreign information work.
