This year's summer-autumn crop, production guidance was carried out early, focusing on the best time frame. The weather was relatively favorable; diseases on crops, livestock, and aquatic products were estimated, forecasted, prevented, and well controlled. The annual crop planting area reached 46.5 thousand hectares, reaching 101.7% over the same period and 104.4% over the plan. The grain crop area reached 33.2 thousand hectares, reaching 99% over the same period and 99.5% of the plan. The annual grain crop output is estimated at 363,000 tons.

Currently, the total herd of pigs and poultry on the farm continues to increase. Production linkages according to the value chain have been formed and operated effectively. The whole province has consolidated and exchanged over 4,407 hectares of land; converted 2,500 hectares of ineffective rice land to grow other crops; planted about 9.3 thousand hectares of new forests, reaching 167.6% of the plan; maintained forest cover of 51.5%. With a total of 2.7 thousand hectares of water surface area for aquaculture, localities are focusing on taking care of 4.98 thousand fish cages; the annual output is estimated at 12,200 tons. Over 19.9 thousand tons of agricultural products, nearly 25,000m3 of wooden furniture and plywood have been exported.

At the conference, delegates discussed and analyzed the results achieved, pointed out the shortcomings and limitations that need to be overcome in the production of the summer-autumn crop. For the production of the 2023-2024 winter-spring crop, according to the plan, the whole province strives to cultivate an area of ​​62 thousand hectares of annual crops. Of which, grain crops are 31.4 thousand hectares; output is 165 thousand tons...

Concluding the conference, comrade Dinh Cong Su, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved in the 2023 winter-spring crop production. He commented: The winter-spring crop is a crop with a large planting area, many types of crops for intensive cultivation for high productivity, which determines the production results of the whole year. Therefore, localities need to focus on leadership and close direction right from the beginning of the crop to achieve comprehensive results in terms of area, productivity, output, and value of agricultural products. Resolutely direct farmers to continue production on areas that have been planned to recover and change land use purposes but have not been recovered or implemented immediately to take advantage of and not leave land vacant. The agricultural sector and sectors, units, and People's Committees of districts and cities need to carefully review to develop production targets and plans close to local realities; proactively convert ineffective rice-growing land areas to grow other crops; Encourage farmers to promote the application of science and technology in production to increase the value of agricultural products. In addition, maintain the total herd of livestock and poultry, develop production, and concentrate industrial livestock farming on farms, ensure livestock farming conditions according to regulations, in accordance with the overall planning for socio-economic development of the locality; plant and care for planted forests to ensure progress as required; promote intensive fish farming in cages and rafts on rivers and large lakes; apply science and technology to increase productivity and value per unit area...
