BTO-On July 30, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai sent an official dispatch to a number of departments, branches and People's Committees of localities in the province regarding the focus on drastic and synchronous implementation of solutions to control and prevent diseases in livestock.
Accordingly, in order to proactively prevent and control livestock diseases in a timely and effective manner, minimizing negative impacts on production and the lives of livestock farmers in the area, the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to proactively guide localities in implementing livestock disease prevention and control, such as investigation, sampling, vaccination, disinfection, and handling of outbreaks... Inspect and rectify vaccination work on livestock, proactively closely monitor the disease situation, promptly detect early, warn and direct the thorough handling of outbreaks, and prevent the disease from spreading widely. Proactively coordinate with market management agencies and relevant agencies to strengthen inspection, supervision, detection and strict handling of cases of trading, transporting, slaughtering animals, and processing products that do not meet requirements on disease prevention and control and food safety.
At the same time, establish working groups to go to key localities in livestock and disease to guide, inspect, and urge the prevention and control of livestock and poultry diseases. Promote the application of information technology, digital transformation, and administrative reform in the prevention and control of animal diseases, quarantine, control of animal slaughter, and management of veterinary drugs.
Localities need to focus on directing the work of disease prevention and control in livestock and poultry with the highest sense of urgency. Do not be subjective or negligent in disease prevention and control. Absolutely do not let disease outbreaks occur in livestock and poultry in the locality. At the same time, monitor and proactively detect diseases in livestock to promptly warn and handle them thoroughly when new diseases are discovered on a small scale. Strictly handle cases of not reporting diseases, selling and slaughtering sick animals, animals suspected of being sick, and dumping animal carcasses into the environment, leading to the spread of diseases.
The Provincial People's Committee also requested localities to strengthen propaganda and instruct livestock farmers to strictly apply hygiene and disinfection measures using lime powder and chemicals in the barn area and surrounding areas. Request and take measures to ensure that livestock owners and livestock facilities with animals that must be destroyed due to epidemics fully carry out disinfection, sanitation, and detoxification to destroy pathogens, not allowing them to spread and spread the epidemic...
