The conference disseminated regulations and guidelines for organizing graduation exams and university and college admissions in 2025. At the same time, it evaluated the review work for grade 12 students and the preparation work for the exam in the province.

According to the direction of the Ministry of Education and Training, the 2025 High School Graduation Exam will be held on June 26 and 27, 2025. On June 25, candidates will go to the exam room to complete procedures and listen to the exam regulations and schedule. On June 28, the backup exam will be held. The registration period is from May 21 to 5:00 p.m. on May 28. The exam results will be announced on July 16, 2025.

Candidates taking the graduation exam for the first time must take four exams, including Math and Literature. In addition, they choose two subjects they have studied at school (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, History, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology and Foreign Language). Candidates taking the exam according to the old program (2006 program) will take the Literature, Math, Foreign Language exams, and one of two Natural Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and Social Sciences (History, Geography, Civic Education).

The 2025 high school graduation exam has many new points compared to the previous exam such as: Changing the format and structure of the exam; there will be only 3 exam sessions, reducing 1 session with 2 subjects compared to last year; eliminating the addition of points for vocational certificates, information technology, foreign languages; allowing foreign candidates to use Vietnamese certificates to be exempted from the literature exam in the consideration of high school graduation recognition...

The leaders of the Department of Education and Training requested units and high schools to continue to seriously and effectively implement the teaching plan for the 2024-2025 school year and review work for grade 12 students. At the same time, carefully prepare all aspects of facilities, candidate profiles, career counseling for candidates, promptly remove difficulties and obstacles. Along with that, promote propaganda about the 2025 High School Graduation Exam to students, parents and people to increase consensus, ensure the organization of the exam takes place safely, seriously, in accordance with regulations and quality; strive to maintain the average score of the subjects higher than the previous year's exam.
