This afternoon, December 22, the Provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting (referred to as the Center) held a conference to summarize industrial promotion activities in 2023, deploy tasks in 2024; summarize the coordination program between the Department of Industry and Trade with the Provincial Farmers' Association, the Provincial Women's Union, and the Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union for the period 2018 - 2023; and provide training on industrial promotion for related businesses, units, and localities.

Over the past year, industrial promotion activities in the province have increasingly affirmed their important role in motivating and encouraging all economic sectors to participate in investing in rural industrial development.
Since then, it has contributed to the transformation of the economic and labor structure in rural areas towards industrialization and modernization. Industrial promotion activities have accompanied enterprises and rural industrial establishments, encouraged investment in production development, business expansion, contributed to creating jobs and income for people, increased the value of local industrial production and built new rural areas. The total budget for industrial promotion implemented in the province is more than 6 billion VND.
In addition, activities to promote, support the development and consumption of the province's IT products are focused on through fairs and exhibitions inside and outside the province with a total budget of nearly 270 million VND.
This activity has helped businesses and industrial production establishments in the province have the opportunity to exchange management and production experiences, transfer technology, promote brands, introduce products, and seek investment and business cooperation partners.
At the same time, expand the distribution network, joint ventures, partnerships, market development, improve competitiveness and integration.
Regarding the direction and tasks in 2024, the Center continues to closely follow the goals and contents of national and provincial industrial promotion programs for the period 2021 - 2025.
Promote and diversify forms of information and propaganda, promptly provide information on mechanisms and policies related to industrial development, trade, and industrial promotion; provide guidance on industrial promotion activities.
Focus on reviewing and proposing models and projects for 2024 to ensure effectiveness, suitability and high spread. Strengthen market connection activities for enterprises and IT establishments in the province through fairs and conferences connecting domestic supply and demand. Integrate capital sources to promote activities and seek methods of market expansion in line with current trends.
In the period of 2018 - 2023, the Department of Industry and Trade has coordinated with the Provincial Farmers' Association, the Provincial Women's Union, and the Provincial Youth Union to effectively carry out propaganda activities, provide policy and market information, and disseminate production experiences; improve the capacity to carry out industrial promotion activities. Promote the construction of technical demonstration models, technology transfer, application of advanced machinery and equipment, and development of new products; develop ITNT products and product consumption markets.
Implement key contents such as: Starting, establishing businesses and improving capacity; vocational training for IT establishments, applying cleaner production in industry; supporting the relocation of establishments causing environmental pollution. The total budget for implementing coordinated activities is nearly 1.5 billion VND.
At the conference, the Department of Industry and Trade, the Provincial Farmers' Association, the Provincial Women's Union, and the Provincial Youth Union signed a cooperation agreement for the period 2024 - 2028 with many key contents. Accordingly, the units will promote propaganda work, raise awareness of union members, association members, and ITNT production establishments about the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State on industrial development, small-scale industry, and industrial promotion.
Promote models and typical individuals in production activities. Organize training courses on industrial promotion, business skills, trade promotion, food hygiene and safety... for members and grassroots union members.
Within the framework of the conference, the Center organized training courses on industrial promotion for many related enterprises, units and localities. The main content is to systematize the Party's guidelines, policies, State laws on industrial promotion work and related documents. Along with the steps, processes, procedures for registration, preparation of dossiers and organization of implementation of industrial promotion projects to provide to state management agencies, industrial promotion units, coordinating units and People's Committees at district, commune, ward and town levels in the whole province.
