The festival is organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of An Giang province in coordination with the People's Committee of Tri Ton district, taking place from April 10 to 12, 2025 at Thai Quoc Hung Square (Tri Ton town), right on the occasion of the traditional Chol Chnam Thmay New Year; expected to open at 7:00 p.m. on April 10 and close at 7:00 p.m. on April 12. The festival includes activities: Mass art festival; traditional Khmer culture and cuisine festival; exhibition of images and artifacts on the theme "Khmer ethnic cultural heritage of An Giang province" and pottery making experience activities. In addition, Tri Ton district will organize booths displaying OCOP products and local specialties to serve tourists.
Within the framework of the Festival, there will also be sports activities and folk games such as: 5-a-side football, 6-a-side volleyball, cross-country, stick pushing, tug of war, and team hugging. In which, Tri Ton district will establish 2 teams, along with the following units: An Giang Boarding Ethnic High School, Chau Thanh district, Thoai Son district, Chau Phu district, Tinh Bien town to participate.
Vice Chairman of Tri Ton District People's Committee Vo Thanh Tuan requested the District Culture - Sports - Tourism and Broadcasting Center to be in charge of organizing the festival. In addition, coordinate with units and localities to strengthen propaganda in visual forms, on mass media, social networking sites about the purpose and meaning; promote the content of activities, time of organizing the Festival in the district. Support in providing information on accommodation and dining facilities for delegations to attend and visit.
The Vice Chairman of the Tri Ton District People's Committee also requested relevant departments; Tri Ton town and Nui To commune to coordinate in implementing logistics, security and order to ensure the festival takes place solemnly, thoughtfully, economically, effectively and demonstrate friendliness and hospitality to leave a good impression of the district on the delegates attending. Thereby, contributing to the success of the 14th Khmer Ethnic Minority Cultural, Sports and Tourism Festival in An Giang Province in 2025.
