Located in a campus of green trees in the heart of Luy village (Kim Song Truong commune), on autumn days, La Son Phu Tu Nguyen Thiep temple welcomes many visitors. They are researchers, writers, journalists, tourists on a journey to explore and learn about people and the culturally rich countryside.
Mr. Nguyen Quy - an elder in the Nguyen family in Luy village said: "Not only tourists, but also descendants of the family who are working and living all over the country have returned to their homeland, to the temple to burn incense in memory, to review the proud tradition and great contributions of their ancestors. Through that, the descendants have more motivation and determination to strive to establish themselves and their careers through the path of knowledge".

The determination to escape poverty and build a new rural area of the people here is materialized by consensus, daring to think, daring to do, daring to innovate.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Hoang - Secretary of the Party Cell of Luy village proudly said: “The determination of 148 households is the strength for Luy village to always be at the forefront in implementing local policies and guidelines. That is the conversion of agricultural land, breaking down embankments and plot embankments to form large fields, applying mechanization to production, increasing crop productivity on an area of 30 hectares; completing the criteria and reaching the finish line of a model residential area in 2021. The traditions of our ancestors and the policies and guidelines of our superiors are instilled in the thinking of each person, which is the driving force for us to build a new life”.

Kim Song Truong Commune - Lai Thach District was once famous as a land of outstanding people with a massive historical relic system including 7 national historical and cultural relics, 16 provincial relics and 3 world cultural heritages. This is also one of the cultural homelands with many historical relics bearing the mark of a tradition of studiousness.
“In the development journey, the local Party Committee and People always identify that, along with the economy, cultural traditions are the spiritual foundation and driving force for the development of the homeland. Accordingly, cultural infrastructure is invested in and built, historical and cultural relics are preserved, restored and promoted with good values. And in the journey of connecting tours and tourist routes of Can Loc district, Kim Song Truong has also become a promising destination”, informed Mr. Nguyen Quoc Son - Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee.

From the cultural tradition as the foundation, the efforts of the Party, the government and the people, Kim Song Truong commune has changed day by day. With the strength from internal resources and the mobilization of project resources, the attention of the district, in the 2 years of 2022-2023, all levels of education in the area have been invested with more than 20 billion VND to build new solid classrooms, renovate the campus, and invest in modern teaching equipment.
The problem of economic development and poverty reduction has also been solved by the Party Committee and the communal government with many policies, creating breakthroughs. Kim Song Truong is one of the leading localities in land consolidation in Can Loc district. Currently, the whole commune has more than 120/948 hectares of rice fields consolidated and strives to implement an additional 285 hectares this year. The large fields that have been formed have contributed to promoting the development of the local agricultural economy. Thanks to that, people's lives have been increasingly improved. In 2023, the commune strives for an average income per capita of 47 million VND, with the poor household rate remaining at more than 4% according to the new criteria. Currently, 8/16 villages of the commune have achieved the model new-style rural residential area, striving to build 3 more model residential areas in 2023, bringing the total number of model residential areas in the whole commune to 11/16 villages.

These days, along with many localities across the district, the Party Committee and People of Kim Song Truong commune are determined to put the major policies of the Party and State into practice. New vitality is present in model residential areas, fields stretching as far as the eye can see, and in the determination of the entire political system and the consensus of the people in implementing the site clearance for the North-South expressway project with a total length of 6.34 km passing through the area.
Certainly, there will be many difficulties and challenges, but with the tradition of the cultural land, with the goal of promoting the heritage values of our ancestors, the Party Committee and People of Kim Song Truong commune always have a firm belief in the Party, firmly moving towards a bright, beautiful and prosperous future.
