Over 830 cases of environmental crimes and violations were detected.

834 cases of environmental crimes and violations have been detected and handled by the provincial police since the beginning of 2024. Of these, 827 cases were administratively sanctioned, with a total fine of VND 5.56 billion; 7 cases were prosecuted, with 11 defendants accused of causing environmental pollution.

However, in the process of production and business activities, enterprises, organizations and individuals have discharged wastewater and emissions exceeding permitted standards; received and transferred waste to units without sufficient functions and capacity for treatment; and dumped waste in the wrong places still occurs in many places, leading to the risk of environmental pollution, affecting people's health and potentially causing loss of security and order.

Therefore, the Provincial People's Committee requests the Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over and coordinate with relevant units and localities to review, compile statistics and evaluate establishments of production, business and service types that emit emissions (wastewater, exhaust gas, solid waste) with high risk of causing pollution; organizations and individuals providing waste collection, transportation and treatment services; organizations providing services to prepare environmental impact reports, grant environmental licenses, monitor and analyze environmental samples; areas and locations of environmental pollution in the province to report to the Provincial People's Committee before May 15, 2025.

At the same time, exchange review results with the Provincial Police to coordinate in combating and handling according to the provisions of law; promptly detect and handle violations, especially those causing environmental pollution.
