Over 800 Thai Nguyen women receive support to start a business

From 2017 to present, the provincial women's associations at all levels have organized many propaganda activities, training, workshops, seminars, forums on startups, organized the annual "Women's Startup Day" contest; a market connecting agricultural product consumption for models, cooperatives, cooperative groups, etc. In general, the activities have been implemented effectively, attracting the participation of a large number of female startups, female business owners, production and business households, cooperatives, and cooperative groups managed by women. The association at all levels has achieved and exceeded 4/5 targets of Project 939, including: Supporting 814 women to start businesses and start businesses; establishing 30 cooperatives, 228 cooperative groups; 100% of cooperative groups, cooperatives, new enterprises established and operated by women are supported in carrying out establishment procedures, capital, knowledge, etc.

Representatives of women's associations at all levels in the province visited the women's start-up model at Tam Tra Thai Cooperative, Tan Cuong commune ( Thai Nguyen city).

At the seminar, delegates discussed and clarified the results achieved, and pointed out some difficulties and limitations in the implementation of Project 939 in the province. Delegates also proposed and recommended to the Vietnam Women's Union on a number of contents, such as: It is necessary to promote support for women to participate in trade promotion; support machinery and equipment; increase policy credit capital; improve women's capacity in developing the startup ecosystem; promptly support women to start businesses, etc.

The proposals and recommendations at the seminar were received and synthesized by the Economic - Social Committee (Vietnam Women's Union) to serve as a basis for developing and implementing solutions to improve the effectiveness of Project 939 in the coming time.
