After the cruise ship The World arrived in Ha Long in mid-June, on June 27, Ha Long International Passenger Port continued to welcome the cruise ship Blue Dream Melody carrying over 630 tourists from China. This is the first time the Blue Dream Melody cruise ship has come to Ha Long and will continue to operate this route in the following months. The Blue Dream Melody ship anchored at Ha Long International Passenger Port from 8am to 6pm on June 27, bringing over 630 tourists to visit Ha Long Bay, experience city tours to famous tourist destinations of the city, explore local cuisine and traditional culture. This is the first time the Blue Dream Melody ship has come to Ha Long and will continue to operate this route in the following months. Previously, in mid-June, Ha Long welcomed the American ship The World, bringing over 170 luxury tourists mainly from the US and Europe. This is the first time The World has returned to Ha Long since the Covid-19 pandemic, and is also the ship anchored in Ha Long for the longest period during the 2023-2024 cruise season. The tourists who are also the owners of the apartments on the ship are all millionaires and billionaires belonging to 1% of the world's population. Since the beginning of the year, Quang Ninh has welcomed about 50 international cruise ships carrying 40,000 tourists from the US, Europe and China. Quang Ninh is assessed to have a great competitive advantage in the cruise tourism market share in the country and Southeast Asia thanks to its diverse and attractive experiences, synchronous transport infrastructure, especially its international cruise port dedicated to tourism. This is a favorable condition for Quang Ninh to attract and promote the development of international cruise tourism even in the summer months - which is not the peak season for cruise tourists in Vietnam. Since the beginning of 2024, Quang Ninh has welcomed about 50 international cruise ships carrying 40,000 tourists from the US, Europe, and China markets.
