At the 26th session (special session) held on October 18, the 11th term People's Council of Binh Thuan province unanimously passed a Resolution approving the investment policy for the project of new construction, repair and renovation of some items of Hung Vuong High School, Duc Linh district.
Accordingly, the project investment objective is to ensure facilities to meet the teaching and learning needs of the school. The investment content and scale include new construction: Construction of a new block of classrooms with a 3-storey building (1 ground floor, 2 upper floors), total floor area of about 2,208 m 2 . Construction of a new block of learning support rooms - auxiliary including a 2-storey building (1 ground floor, 1 upper floor), total floor area of about 660 m 2 . Construction of 2 new student toilets including a 2-storey building, total floor area of about 89 m 2 /house. Construction of a new multi-purpose house with a 1-storey house, construction area of about 960 m 2 .
In addition, the repair includes a block of 6 classrooms with a total floor area of about 702 m2 ; repair of a block of 18 classrooms with a total floor area of about 1,478 m2 ; repair of a block of 14 classrooms - 1 library - 1 meeting room with a total floor area of about 1,468 m2 . At the same time, repair of a block of 6 subject classrooms including a 3-storey building with a total floor area of about 1,129 m2 ; repair of the administrative block - learning support - auxiliary: 2-storey building with a total floor area of about 493 m2 ; repair and renovation of auxiliary items such as gates, fences, schoolyards, power and water supply systems and overall fire protection systems. In addition, invest in necessary equipment for newly built blocks.
According to the resolution, this is a group C project; the total investment is about 44,535 billion VND. The capital source is from the lottery capital in the period of 2021-2025 and transferred to the period of 2026 - 2030. The project implementation location is in Duc Tai town, Duc Linh district. The project implementation period is 3 years in the form of new construction and renovation and repair.
Previously, according to the audit report of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council, Hung Vuong High School, Duc Linh district, had a total number of students in the 2023 - 2024 school year of 2,073 students/55 classes (an average of 38 students/class); in the 2024 - 2025 school year and the following school years, it is expected that there will be 2,266 students/54 classes (an average of 42 students/class)... Up to now, most of the school's construction items have degraded, the current facilities of the school no longer meet the teaching and learning needs of students. At the same time, through reviewing the current facilities of the school, comparing with the level 2 facilities standards according to Circular No. 13/2020/TT-BGDDT dated May 26, 2020 of the Minister of Education and Training, the school currently lacks a number of subject classrooms, learning and auxiliary support rooms, and multi-purpose halls. Therefore, it is necessary to invest in the construction, repair, and renovation of some items of Hung Vuong High School.
