Promoting the beauty of Long An on digital platforms
Nowadays, digital technology plays an important role in shaping the lifestyle and approach to knowledge of the younger generation. The spread of traditional values is no longer limited to the classroom and books but is also realized through video clips and photos posted on the Internet.
Within the framework of the Program " Educating revolutionary ideals , ethics, cultural lifestyle for youth, teenagers, and children on cyberspace in the period of 2022-2030", the Provincial Youth Union launched a contest to create short clips to promote the image of Long An province in 2025 with the theme of Long An Pride, Courage, and Resilience. The contest took place from March 20 to April 15 with direct voting on the Long An Youth Fanpage, Long An Youth TikTok and scoring by the professional jury.
The works introduce portraits of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, heroic martyrs, and people with revolutionary contributions; reflect the beauty of culture, nature, historical relics, traditional craft villages, and activities of gratitude and building Long An homeland through the perspective of the young generation.
According to the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union - Vo Minh Quoc, the Short Clip Creation Contest to promote Long An attracted the enthusiastic participation of many young people, clearly demonstrating the creativity and responsibility of the young generation towards their homeland. Anh Quoc commented: “The quality of the content of the clips is very diverse and rich in both form of expression and message conveyed. Many works cleverly incorporate images of historical relics, traditional cultural beauty and unique values of Long An people. This shows the deep interest of young people in preserving and spreading the identity of their homeland. Through the contest, the Provincial Youth Union hopes that this will be a bridge to promote the image of a beautiful and rich Long An to a large number of people at home and abroad”.
Participating in the contest, Pham Nhu Phuong (Thanh Phu commune, Ben Luc district) and the Youth Union of class 11A2, Nguyen Trung Truc High School - Ben Luc created a video about the heroic fighting tradition of the locality. With an emotional perspective, the students not only recorded beautiful images of their homeland through the lens but also sent a profound message: "Long An is not only the place where we were born but also a part of the identity of each child here. We hope that young people will take the time to explore their homeland with loving eyes and a grateful heart, to see that the place where they live really has many beautiful and proud things."
Through making videos about her hometown, Phuong had the opportunity to explore aspects that she had never paid attention to before. From the Vegetarian Festival in Chau Thanh district, the Long An province's historical revolutionary relic site (Duc Hue district) to the heroic feat of Nguyen Trung Truc,... Each image and document collected is not only material for the work but also becomes a thread connecting the individual with the community, the present with the past.
Long An Youth Continues Tradition
Not only stopping at emotional films, young people of Long An also spread patriotism and national pride through creative and meaningful community activities. With modern thinking, flexible approach and deep love for their homeland, young people are bringing culture and history into life with rich, accessible creative materials.
Although still in school, Nguyen Hoang Gia Phu (Duc Hoa Ha commune, Duc Hoa district) soon nurtured a passion for bringing history closer to the community through digital media products. Not only learning history through books, Phu also worked with friends to come up with ideas, film and narrate short video clips introducing An Hiep conical hat village, Oc Eo relic site or historical figure Chau Van Liem to participate in competitions to introduce Long An land.
Phu shared: “At first, I only liked video editing, never thinking I would be able to make a complete video. But gradually, my love for history and desire to preserve traditional values made me persevere in learning. Although I am an amateur, I want to do something to preserve Vietnamese culture and the history of my province.”
Converting history into digital media products is not only a trend but also an effective bridge between the past and the present. The STEM Festival at Nguyen Trung Truc High School - Ben Luc is one of the outstanding activities, contributing to nurturing love for history and national culture in a completely new way. Through this activity, students not only practice thinking skills, apply scientific and interdisciplinary knowledge but also proactively approach history and culture with models of famous landmarks, historical relics, historical figures, ...

Nguyen Thi Hong Cuc, Secretary of the Youth Union of Nguyen Trung Truc High School - Ben Luc, shared: “The STEM models implemented by students are all imbued with national identity, closely associated with local culture, Vietnam and close to daily life. What is special is that these models are being displayed by the school, some of which are being put into practical use in the educational program for many grades. Thanks to that, students not only understand more about history and culture but also proactively approach knowledge in a lively and engaging way. Through this activity, students love the subject more; at the same time, forming an awareness of preserving and promoting traditional values of the nation”.
Promoting the transmission of traditional values in the digital age, Tan An City Youth Union also organized many online contests to honor cultural and historical values, expressing patriotism and national pride of the young generation. In particular, the online photo contest "Tan An Moments - Tet Sum Vay" in 2025 with more than 70 entries captured warm family moments during the Lunar New Year of At Ty in 2025, connecting young people with the simplest and most beloved things of their homeland.
Not only that, the City Youth Union also organized the contest "Tan An Youth sings the National Anthem at red addresses" in 2025 with the theme I love my Fatherland. Through that, union members and young people will express their patriotism and deep gratitude through video clips recording the moments of singing the National Anthem at "red addresses", sharing their feelings, affirming their determination to continue writing glorious pages of history of the nation.
In the context of multi-dimensional information, many incorrect contents about culture and history are spreading on social networks, each young person needs to proactively equip themselves with knowledge, share positive content, join hands to build a safe and civilized cyberspace, and protect the good values of the nation./.
