Awarding the decision to appoint Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang

On the afternoon of October 16, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a ceremony to announce and present the Prime Minister's decision to appoint Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. Authorized by the Prime Minister, Party Central Committee member and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son presented the decision to appoint Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs to Ms. Nguyen Minh Hang.

On the afternoon of October 16, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a ceremony to announce and hand over the Prime Minister's decision to appoint Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. Authorized by the Prime Minister, Party Central Committee member and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son handed over the decision to appoint Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs to Ms. Nguyen Minh Hang.

Attending the decision-giving ceremony on behalf of the guests were: Comrade Dao Ngoc Anh, Deputy Director of Central Department 1A, Central Inspection Committee; Comrade Le Minh Huong, Deputy Director of the Department of Civil Servants and Public Employees, Ministry of Home Affairs; Comrade Vu Hai Dang, representative of the Department of Monitoring the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity, Central Internal Affairs Committee.

Tại buổi lễ, Ủy viên Trung ương Đảng, Bộ trưởng Ngoại giao Bùi Thanh Sơn trao quyết định bổ nhiệm Thứ trưởng Ngoại giao cho bà Nguyễn Minh Hằng. Tại Quyết định 1176/QĐ-TTg ngày 12/10/2023, Thủ tướng Chính phủ bổ nhiệm bà Nguyễn Minh Hằng, Trợ lý Bộ trưởng Bộ Ngoại giao kiêm Vụ trưởng Vụ Tổng hợp kinh tế, Bộ Ngoại giao, giữ chức Thứ trưởng Bộ Ngoại giao.

At the ceremony, Party Central Committee member and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son presented the decision to appoint Ms. Nguyen Minh Hang as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. In Decision 1176/QD-TTg dated October 12, 2023, the Prime Minister appointed Ms. Nguyen Minh Hang, Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director of the Department of General Economics, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Bộ trưởng Bùi Thanh Sơn nhấn mạnh, Bộ Ngoại giao đang tích cực triển khai đường lối đối ngoại theo tinh thần Đại hội Đảng lần thứ XIII, theo đó toàn Ngành tiên phong trong tạo lập và giữ vững môi trường hoà bình, ổn định, huy động các nguồn lực bên ngoài để phát triển đất nước, nâng cao vị thế và uy tín của đất nước. Minister Bui Thanh Son emphasized that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is actively implementing foreign policy in the spirit of the 13th National Party Congress, in which the whole sector takes the lead in creating and maintaining a peaceful and stable environment, mobilizing external resources to develop the country, and enhancing the country's position and prestige. The Minister said that Comrade Nguyen Minh Hang has strived throughout her work, has working experience, especially in the field of multilateral diplomacy, economic diplomacy for development, and is trusted and believed by the officials in the Ministry. In the context of the Foreign Affairs sector entering the process of building a professional, comprehensive, modern, clean and strong direction, Minister Bui Thanh Son hopes that the new Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs will continue to make every effort, promote his capacity, and work together with the Ministry's leadership to unite and coordinate well to excellently complete the tasks assigned by the Party and State leaders to the Foreign Affairs sector, towards building a comprehensive and modern diplomacy.

In her acceptance speech, the new Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang thanked the leaders of the Party, the State and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their trust in her new responsibility; and thanked the leaders of the Ministry, the Minister and the officials in the Ministry for their support and trust. Reviewing her work in the past, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang affirmed that she will make more efforts, promote all her capacity to fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party and the State, contributing to the overall success of foreign affairs.
