Award ceremony of the contest "Young Literature Award of Ho Chi Minh City National University"

The 3rd "Ho Chi Minh City National University Youth Literature Award" in 2024 with the theme "Literary Startup" attracted the participation of more than 1,032 works in 3 genres: Poetry, Essays, and Short Stories, from students across the country.

The competition has become an important forum, encouraging the art of words and searching for promising new voices in young literature.

The honored works not only have high artistic value but also demonstrate the young generation's sense of responsibility towards the community and society.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Minh Tam, Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City National University, spoke at the award ceremony.

The special thing about this year's contest results is that there was only one First Prize awarded to the work Alley of Fragrance by author Dinh Ngoc Bao Tran, a student at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Ho Chi Minh City National University) in the Essay category; the Jury did not award First Prize to the remaining categories (Short Stories, Poetry).

At the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Minh Tam, Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City National University emphasized that the literary composition contest "Ho Chi Minh City National University Young Literature Award" with the theme "Literary Startup" is an annual contest that Ho Chi Minh City National University wishes to contribute to arousing and promoting the creative ability of language arts of students.

“This is both a meaningful spiritual creative playground and a forum for students to express their humane messages and responsibilities to the community and the country. Thereby, it contributes to spreading awareness and positive feelings to young people as well as the whole society,” said Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Minh Tam.

At the ceremony, Dr. Phan Thanh Dinh, Vice President of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest, launched the "2025 Creative Experience Activity".

With the theme "Taking off with literature", the event is scheduled to take place in the summer of 2025, promising to bring a new model, creating an environment and motivation to develop young literary talents.

This activity focuses on four main goals: Strengthening connections with the young writer community, cultivating creative capacity, creating a space to learn from experienced writers and poets, and experiencing life to enrich creative materials.

This will be the next step in the development of the literary writing contest to nurture the discovered young talents, create a playground to encourage these potential writers to continue to create, interact with each other, maintain their passion for literature and create specific works.

From there, create an art forum for students nationwide to express messages of humanity, creativity, and responsibility to people, to the country, and to humanity.
