The jury selected 94 outstanding works to award in 5 categories: Print, Electronic, Radio, Television and Photojournalism.

Three units received the Collective award.
The best works were honored to be selected to award 5 First Prizes, 15 Second Prizes, 24 Third Prizes and 50 Encouragement Prizes. The Organizing Committee also awarded 3 collective prizes of equal rank to press agencies with many works participating in the competition, achieving high results. This year's award was recognized through nearly a thousand participating works, which comprehensively, truthfully and deeply reflected the fields under the management of the industry.
The 2nd National Press Award "For the cause of developing Culture, Sports and Tourism" was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) to select and award the author or group of authors with outstanding press works on culture, family, sports and tourism, published and broadcast by central and local press agencies within the prescribed time; award the award to the typical press agency with many winning works.

The authors received First Prize.
According to Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy, Head of the Organizing Committee, this year's entries are not only large in quantity and diverse in topics, but also of good professional quality, bringing together many press agencies at both the central and local levels.
The works closely follow major themes, vividly reflecting important events of 2023 - 2024 in the fields of culture, sports, tourism and family. Some prominent topics that many groups of authors are interested in and exploit include: Developing Vietnam's cultural industry in the new situation; protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the fields of culture and arts; the current situation of Vietnam's sports and tourism industry in the post-COVID-19 period.

The authors received second prize.
In addition, topics such as: Preserving, promoting, and conserving Vietnamese cultural heritage in general and the culture of 54 ethnic groups in particular; building the entertainment industry, film market, book market, and reading culture; protecting children; digital transformation in the cultural field; good models and good practices in developing tourism, culture, and sports; about the tradition of studiousness with exemplary characters who are filial and devoted to their parents; guiding readers to the values of truth, goodness, and beauty in life... are also of interest to and exploited by many authors/groups of authors.
According to the organizers, the articles all analyze specific content in depth, highlighting the current situation, difficulties, opportunities, and challenges in the fields of culture, sports, and tourism.

The authors received Third Prize.
The subcommittees of the Preliminary Council proposed and recommended that the Organizing Committee should take specific measures to encourage reporters and journalists to create more works on family, children and sports topics, in order to balance culture with other fields, fully and comprehensively reflecting the fields of the industry. In addition, the Organizing Committee also needs to strengthen communication to press agencies and journalists' associations at all levels, especially in the Central - Central Highlands region, to encourage submissions for the next seasons.
