Provide opportunities and motivate women to be confident, active and integrated

With many practical programs and actions, Ha Tinh Women's Union at all levels continues to create and pave the way for female members to constantly improve their role in life. Many women are increasingly confident and active in economic development and participating in social activities.

For Ms. Kieu Thi Cuc (Group 7, Huong Khe Town), 2023 is a meaningful milestone in her life, when she participated and won third prize at the "Ha Tinh Women Start-up - Promoting Local Resources" Contest, organized by the Provincial Women's Union. Ms. Cuc shared: "Until now, I still feel happy about what I have experienced in the contest. It is not only the value of the prize but also the journey of overcoming myself. From being a shy person, afraid of crowds, I was able to write down my startup idea and confidently stand up to present it to the judges and guests."

Witnessing Ms. Kieu Thi Cuc’s confident and coherent presentation of her startup idea “Producing nutritional oil for weaning babies” at the competition, few people would have thought that she is a rural woman from the mountainous region, who has never attended any professional school. All thanks to her participation in training courses and startup competitions organized by women’s associations at all levels in recent times.

Ms. Kieu Thi Cuc is one of many women who, thanks to the programs and actions of the association at all levels, have become increasingly confident, affirming the role of women in the new era.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Ha - President of Ha Tinh Women's Union said: "In 2023, the Provincial Women's Union launched the emulation movement "Promoting the sense of responsibility and creativity of union officials and members, effectively implementing union work targets and tasks and local political tasks" in conjunction with the implementation of the emulation movement "Building Vietnamese women of the new era". We have directed all levels of the union to implement many practical action programs with great influence among all levels of the union and women's union members and have achieved many outstanding results".

In 2023, Ha Tinh Women's Union at all levels had many meaningful activities to concretize the emulation movement "Building Vietnamese women of the new era" such as: a thematic conference on "The role and requirements for the women's movement in the current period"; organizing the photo contest "Ao Dai with Ha Tinh homeland" to promote tourism in the province; folk dance exchange "Following the marching song" to celebrate the 55th anniversary of Dong Loc Victory; Provincial Women's Volleyball Tournament...

In addition, the association at all levels also actively mobilizes and supports women in economic development, entrepreneurship, sustainable poverty reduction, participation in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas; promotes social security activities, contributes to the effective implementation of the "Godmother" programs, supports livelihood models for poor women...

The "Godmother" program continues to be spread by Ha Tinh Women's Union at all levels, receiving active support from the community. The Provincial Women's Union also organized a ceremony to honor 58 excellent grassroots women's union presidents and exemplary branch presidents; organized a "Forum for exchanging, sharing experiences and honoring families"; implemented the model "Family of 5 yes - Model new rural area" for the period 2021-2023; organized an exchange of communication initiatives to build families of "5 no, 3 clean", "5 yes, 3 clean" to foster Vietnamese family values... In particular, the Provincial Women's Union chaired the research and successfully organized a discussion on the topic "Solutions to enhance gender roles in family building during the integration period in Ha Tinh", attracting a large number of researchers, officials from departments and branches to participate...

To continue helping female members promote their role and constantly improve their position, in 2024, the Provincial Women's Union will continue to promote the emulation movement "Building Vietnamese women of the new era" associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, improving the quality of the campaign "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's", preserving good values ​​and developing the Vietnamese family value system.

At the same time, the unit concretizes and implements the breakthrough step of "strengthening the application of information technology in association activities"; diversifying the forms of attracting and gathering members; improving the quality of inspection and supervision in the association system. The association continues to effectively implement projects of the Government, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union; national target programs on new rural construction, sustainable poverty reduction, one product per commune; the programs "Accompanying women in the border areas", "Godmother"...
