The 32nd Ho Chi Minh City Youth Informatics Contest was jointly organized by the following units: City Youth Union, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Information and Communications, Department of Education and Training, Television Station, Ho Chi Minh City Informatics Association. The contest is a practical activity to promote the development of the movement of learning, creating and applying information technology among the city's youth. At the same time, it contributes to discovering, gathering and promoting young talents in information technology to build information technology human resources for the city.

The contest for primary, secondary and high school students in the city includes 2 contents: IT knowledge and skills contest, IT creative product contest. The online preliminary round of the contest attracted more than 86,800 contestants from primary, secondary and high schools in the city. The 60 best contestants along with the team of Thu Duc City Youth Union, 21 district and county youth unions and 4 IT teams competed in the final round. In this round, the IT knowledge and skills contest was divided into 4 groups and the IT creative product contest was divided into 2 groups.

At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded 94 prizes, including: 4 first prizes, 9 second prizes, 15 third prizes and 66 consolation prizes. Of which, 4 first prizes went to contestants and groups of contestants: Do Thi Thanh Binh (Le Ngoc Han Primary School, District 1), Phung Quang Thang (Nguyen Du Secondary School, Go Vap District), Le Viet Nam Khoi (Grade 10.3, Viet Uc Primary, Secondary and High School, Thu Duc City), Pham Nguyen Anh Tai and Vo Nguyen Dinh Bao (Gia Dinh High School, Binh Thanh District).

At the same time, the organizing committee also awarded 5 outstanding collectives for the Youth Union of the following units: Thu Duc City, District 12, Go Vap, Binh Chanh District and Cu Chi. The organizing committee and the jury selected and announced the Ho Chi Minh City team to participate in the upcoming National Youth Informatics Competition, including 47 best candidates from the competition. Also on this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union commended and awarded students who participated well in the 6th Office Informatics Championship - 2023.
