On October 29, in Hanoi, Vietnam Dance Week 2023 officially closed after days of exciting competition, attracting a large audience of dance lovers. Experts highly appreciated that Vietnam Dance Week brought the opportunity for the public to access and recognize the diverse nuances of creative forms of dance art.
Awards were presented to the Video Challenge First Prize winners and the young Promising Prize winners.
Choreographer Tuyet Minh (State Award 2023) - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Dance Artists Association - the person who initiated the organization of Vietnam Dance Week was delighted with the results achieved.
For her, this is also an opportunity to clearly recognize the appearance of generations of dance artists with their constant creativity to bring high-quality dance works to the stage, and at the same time, it is a playground to promote the talents of young people who love the art of dance.
Taking place over 3 days in Ho Chi Minh City (from October 19 to 21) and 5 days in Hanoi (from October 25 to 29), Vietnam Dance Week 2023 attracted the participation of more than 500 domestic and international professional artists and choreographers, dance talents of many ages, contributing 137 unique dance performances, affirming the delicate and attractive beauty of the art of dance.
Many excellent dance performances by the young contestants were highly appreciated by the judges because they were so interesting.
Summing up the artistic quality of Vietnam Dance Week 2023, People's Artist Ha The Dung, Vice President of the Vietnam Dance Artists Association, Chairman of the Jury Council commented: "The contestants competed with a spirit of competition full of energy. The performances were rich and diverse in genres, with investment in costumes and music. Notably, many contestants from provinces and cities also responded and participated. Especially the contestants were children but had skillful and intelligent performance skills.
The entries all revealed high aesthetic and thoughtful elements and honored regional cultural values, reflecting the colors of social life and people in the past and present."
"Vietnam Dance Week 2023" has spread the spirit of loving the profession and working seriously of generations of Vietnamese dance artists.
The Organizing Committee awarded 70 prizes to outstanding contestants and groups of contestants in the northern region. Specifically, the ethnic folk dance category had: 1 A prize, 7 B prizes, 4 C prizes; The professional dance performance category had: 6 A prizes, 2 B prizes, 2 C prizes; along with dozens of prizes awarded in the categories: children and teenagers, U50 age group; contemporary dance genres; dance art photos "Creative moments", promoting dance art through publications... and the contents "Promising choreographer", "Impressive actor", "Promising star" were also honored.
