Under the post, many people expressed concern about taking children out in the cold weather. Some commented that while schools kept children home from school due to the cold, parents were taking their children to “hunt” for snow.

Contacting Ms. Hong Anh (25 years old, Hanoi) - the parent of the baby in the photo and also the owner of the post shared on social media, she said: "I have read the mixed comments, but people who only look at the photos will not know the reality of our family's trip."
According to Ms. Hong Anh, before the trip, she prepared very carefully from clothes to food and drink for her child, ensuring that the child was healthy enough to adapt to the cold weather.
"The baby wore 5-7 thin layers of clothing to keep warm, 3 pairs of socks, a woolen hat and a tarpaulin covering almost his entire body. On the way, he ate a bowl of duck pho, and when he arrived, he ate 2 grilled eggs, grilled meat skewers and snacks along the way," said Ms. Anh.
Besides, the family traveled by car to the top of Mau Son, along the way they stopped to take pictures at beautiful places and then got back in the car.

Little Squirrel, 5 years old, has "conquered" many tourist routes with his parents so he loves nature very much (Photo: Character provided).
Ms. Anh said that little Soc (nickname at home), is only 5 years old but has "conquered" many roads with his parents. At the age of 2, his parents took him camping in Moc Chau, traveling to many places across the country, so he is used to traveling. He also loves to be close to and explore nature.
This was the first time Squirrel saw ice and snow with her own eyes, just like in the cartoons she often watched, so even though it was cold, she still seemed very excited.
"The whole family was amazed by the space covered in pure white snow. On Mau Son peak, there were also many children the same age as Soc being taken by their parents to hunt for snow," Ms. Anh shared.
According to Ms. Anh, this was a random trip for the whole family. When they heard about the frost on Mau Son peak, on the morning of January 23, her family immediately planned the trip.
Departing from Hanoi at 5pm on January 23, Anh’s family stayed overnight in Lang Son city. On the morning of January 24, the three members arrived at Mau Son at around 9am and admired the panoramic view of the thick ice covering the top of Mau Son.
The temperature recorded on Mau Son peak at 10am on January 24 was about -4 degrees Celsius (Photo: Provided by the character).
The temperature at that time, according to the records from Anh's family car, was about 14 degrees. Ms. Anh said that the temperature in Mau Son was much colder than in Hanoi, but wearing thick, warm clothes was still enough to go. If you choose to go hunting for ice and snow, you should go by car because the road is very slippery, most motorbikes will skid, and you should also go early to avoid traffic jams.
"My daughter's health is still stable after the trip. However, I do not encourage families to let their young children go snow hunting. Depending on the child's resistance, the family should make an appropriate decision," Ms. Anh added.
The appearance of ice stimulates the curiosity of many tourists. However, when deciding to hunt for ice in cold weather, tourists should prepare carefully for their journey.
