Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko pointed out that in the complicated context of the world, Vietnam-Russia cooperation is still developing positively in the spirit of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

On August 26 (Moscow time), the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 79th anniversary of Vietnam National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024).
Attending the event were representatives of the Government, National Assembly , ministries and branches of the host country, many international friends, Vietnamese associations in the "Land of White Birch", representatives of fraternal partner countries, social organizations and businesses.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko attended and delivered a warm congratulatory speech.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Dang Minh Khoi reviewed the diplomatic achievements that Vietnam has made since the country's name appeared on the world map 79 years ago.
From a poor colony, Vietnam is now a diplomatic partner of 192 countries, a member of the United Nations, a responsible and prestigious member of the international community, participating in many multilateral organizations.
Over the years, Vietnam has consistently implemented an independent, self-reliant, diversified, multilateral foreign policy, being a friend and reliable partner, for a peaceful, stable, cooperative and developing international community.
The Vietnam-Russia relationship has a special significance, built on long-standing traditions. Recently, the relationship between the two countries has been given new impetus for development after the State visit to Vietnam by Russian President Vladimir Putin in June 2024.
After taking up the highest state position, President To Lam also had a phone call with President Vladimir Putin, emphasizing the special affection between the two peoples.
That sincere and faithful friendship was also mentioned by Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko in his congratulatory speech.

Mr. Rudenko pointed out that in the complicated context of the world, Vietnam-Russia cooperation is still developing positively in the spirit of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The two countries maintain regular and trustworthy political dialogue at all levels, first of all at the highest level.
In the coming time, Deputy Minister Rudenko has high expectations for high-level visits, first of all the visit of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, which will promote parliamentary cooperation channels in resolving objective difficulties in economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
The representative of the Russian diplomatic agency asked the entire hall to raise a glass to toast the friendship between the two countries to continue to be strengthened, mutually beneficial cooperation to be further developed, and the two countries and two peoples to always be prosperous.
At the ceremony, long-time friend of Vietnam, Vice Chairman of the Communist Party of Russia, Chairman of the State Duma Friendship Parliamentarians Group Leonist Kalashnikov excitedly recalled memories of Vietnam from the Soviet era in his hometown of Toliachi and emphasized the remarkable development of Vietnam, from a country exporting manual labor to now becoming an industrial production center in the region.
Representing the city with the most cooperation activities with Vietnam in Russia - Saint Petersburg, Deputy Chairman of the City Legislature Nikolai Bondarenko was also very happy to congratulate Vietnam.
According to him, Vietnam is making great strides in its pioneering role in Southeast Asia. He believes that in the near future Vietnam will become the number one economy in the region and will further develop its economic potential.

As a testament to the sincere words “from the heart” of the Russian diplomat, a mini exhibition of paintings by Russian artists of Vietnam was introduced by the Suzdalski Cultural House from Saint Petersburg right at the ceremony.
Director of the House of Culture Tatyana Lapteva proudly said that her creative space is located next to the street named after beloved President Ho Chi Minh, where a statue of him was erected last year.
24 artists from the “Temple of Friendship” Association decided to paint Vietnam and Uncle Ho in their own way, and the result was an exhibition of more than 50 paintings named “Ho Chi Minh-Saint Petersburg”./.
