Trang Dinh: Deploying the International Emergency Aid Project to support overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3 in the area - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station

- On April 2, at the People's Committee of That Khe town, the Vietnam Red Cross (VRC) in coordination with the Lang Son Provincial Red Cross Society and the Trang Dinh District Red Cross Society organized the opening ceremony of the International Emergency Aid Project to support people in overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3 (Yagi) and the post-storm circulation, with non-refundable aid from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

People in Khon Ca area, That Khe town receive support money from the project

According to statistics, during storm No. 3 (Yagi) that occurred in September 2024, in the area of ​​That Khe Town People's Committee, there were about 2,000 households affected by the storm. To implement the Project "International Emergency Aid to Support People to Overcome the Consequences of Storm No. 3 (Yagi) and Post-Storm Recirculation", That Khe Town People's Committee has made a list of affected households in the area and followed the process to identify households that benefit from the project. Thereby, the Town People's Committee has selected 296 households to benefit, with a total support fund of 810 million VND, of which 264 households received unconditional cash support, 32 households received livelihood support, each household received 5 million VND. The funding will partly help people overcome the consequences of storm No. 3, restore production to develop the local economy .

Provincial Red Cross Association and Trang Dinh District Post Office staff transferred support funds to people.

The implementation of this project has profound humanistic values, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love and solidarity, uniting the community to care for the poor and those in difficult circumstances, and restoring sustainable production after the impact of Typhoon Yagi.

Project beneficiaries speak at the program

It is known that in Trang Dinh district, there are 2 communes that benefit from the Project: Hung Son commune and That Khe town. According to the plan, on April 3, 2025, the People's Committee of Hung Son commune will deploy the Project to support money for 176 households in the commune, with a total support cost of 590 million VND.
