The activity is part of the Project "Joining Voices - Connecting for a Safe Community".

There were 130 trainees participating in the training course; of which, 90 were students of Lam Dong Deaf School. Here, the trainees listened to the reporters, Dr. Bui Thi Kim Ngan - Specialist Doctor of Lam Dong Province HIV/AIDS Prevention Department and Dr. Vu Thi Ngoc Lan - Staff of HIV/AIDS Prevention Department, disseminate knowledge related to HIV/AIDS.

Specifically, basic concepts of HIV/AIDS and biological characteristics of HIV; HIV transmission routes; HIV clinical stages; relationship between HIV and hepatitis B, sexually transmitted diseases, tuberculosis...

After the training session, 100% of the trainees had a test assessing their knowledge of HIV that met the 50% standard.

The Voices Together - Connecting for a Safe Community project aims to increase awareness and access to information on HIV/AIDS prevention and control for vulnerable groups, especially ethnic minorities and the hearing impaired. Thereby, reducing the rate of new HIV infections in these groups through education and providing support services.

The Voices of One Hand - Connecting for a Safe Community project aims to increase awareness and access to information on HIV/AIDS prevention and control for vulnerable groups.

The specific objectives of the project are to train and provide peer educators, volunteers, ethnic minorities and deaf people with knowledge about HIV/AIDS and communication skills; to reach and support beneficiary groups, provide HIV testing and treatment services (ARV, PrEP) and counseling services. At the same time, implement community communication campaigns in forms appropriate to ethnic languages ​​and sign languages.
