20-year-old project comes true
Musician and singer Jimmii Nguyen shared that he has cherished the idea of making the Tran - Nguyen du ca program for the past 20 years. However, many events have occurred during that time, and it was not until today that the program was born.
The traveling project received the support of musician Tran Tien. However, due to his age (nearly 80 years old) and limited travel, musician Tran Tien could not participate in the entire project, traveling to all parts of the country.
"I will participate in the first episode of Tran - Nguyen du ca in Hanoi and hope to participate in many more episodes until the du ca passes away" - musician Tran Tien shared.
According to the plan, the traveling project will visit all regions of the country. The destination is anywhere there are music lovers, stopping in a province or city each month.
The guests are beloved singers and artists who want to contribute to the community.
"Du Ca's ambition is to go to places where audiences long to see, interact, share, and send messages of love.
We want to leave our mark and memories in the places we visit by building libraries, digging wells, renovating schools... from all the profits of the program" - Jimmii Nguyen confided.
Tran Tien likes to sing for people who don't have money to buy tickets.
Musician Tran Tien shared that du means to go, ca means to perform (to perform what you want). Du ca resonates with the community about love and country, different from stage performances.
"Wherever I go, I write as a way of traveling. I write what I see with my soul and heart, especially my heart" - the musician confided.

Musician Tran Tien expressed that a true artist sings for music lovers. "Poor workers have never seen me sing on stage because they don't have the money to buy tickets. That is also the inspiration for me to compose the song Little Sun. "
"I like to sing for people who don't have money to buy tickets, those are my loved ones. Those who have money to buy tickets to listen to me sing are also my loved ones, but I love the poor more than the rich" - musician Tran Tien shared.

Sharing more with Tuoi Tre Online , musician Tran Tien said: "The program is not to introduce new songs, but artists sing what all audiences know, that is folk songs, that is du ca. I will sing modified folk songs in the program."
Musician Jimmii Nguyen affirmed that the program brings the audience many old songs with very old versions praising the homeland and country.
Among them are many songs by musician Tran Tien. He revealed that he will translate into English a song by Tran Tien to be performed in the program.
Director Huy Nguyen said the music in Tran - Nguyen du ca is a dialogue, bringing everything back to the original and not staged.
Musician Tran Tien is the first guest in the Du ca program series.
The first program is scheduled to take place on the night of January 19, 2025, in front of the Hanoi Opera House, with MC Van Hugo as host.
