Tram Tau has promoted festivals and traditional cultural features such as Gau Tao Festival, Khen dance, forging and casting agricultural tools, weaving, brocade embroidery, linen weaving, beeswax painting on fabric... to build and develop tourism products in a unique direction, imbued with traditional cultural identity. Typically, Xa Ho commune with its potential and strengths, people have developed brocade and embroidery products from traditional linen, not only serving daily needs but also attracting many shoppers.

In particular, foreign tourists are very fond of brocade products made from linen, experiencing the processes and stages such as: stripping linen fibers, connecting linen fibers, bleaching linen fibers, weaving linen... using traditional manual methods, motivating people to continue to promote, preserve and maintain the traditional linen weaving profession.

Mrs. Giang Thi Song in Sang Pao village shared: "Here, the soil and climate are suitable for flax to grow and develop with high productivity. In addition, there is also experience passed down, so the traditional flax growing, weaving and embroidery professions have been actively preserved by us. In recent years, while taking advantage of the free time, we have also taught our children and grandchildren to maintain and preserve the traditional Mong flax growing and weaving professions for the long term."

Currently, Xa Ho commune has over 40% of households with women maintaining and preserving flax growing and weaving activities, and over 80% of adult women know how to embroider and also embroider brocade, contributing significantly to preserving the traditional flax growing and weaving profession to serve daily life as well as creating a unique environment to attract tourists to visit, experience and shop.

In addition, with the majority of the population being Mong people, the Khen culture in Tram Tau has also been preserved and promoted by the local people. Khen not only serves daily life but has also left a deep impression on many tourists when coming to the locality. Artisan Giang A Do in Ban Mu commune has more than 26 years of experience in making, playing and dancing with Khen.

Mr. Do shared: "I have loved the sound of the Khen since I was a child. I learned how to make the Khen, play the Khen, and dance with the Khen from my father when I was a teenager. Now, the Khen is part of my life, and I always play the Khen in all my activities. I have also been invited to perform in Hanoi . I am very proud that the Khen sound and the Khen dances of the Mong Tram Tau people in general and myself in particular have been known, cared for, and loved by many domestic and foreign tourists. Besides, I have also taught many young people how to play the Khen and dance with the Khen."

As a sacred and unique musical instrument, the Khen has made an important contribution to making the annual Gau Tao Festival and the traditional New Year of the Mong people in Tram Tau more exciting, joyful, joyful and successful. In particular, the whole district has now built nearly 40 mass art troupes in communes and towns, and most of the troupes have Khen blowing and Khen dancing performances to serve tourists coming to the locality. In 2023, the Khen Mong art of Tram Tau and the two districts of Van Chan and Mu Cang Chai was recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage, further affirming the value of this art form.

To contribute to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values associated with tourism development, in recent years, artisans in Tram Tau district have actively composed, collected, and restored many festivals and traditional cultural features such as panpipe dancing, xoe dancing, leaf blowing, lip trumpet, bamboo flute, brocade embroidery, forging agricultural tools, weaving, etc., bearing the full cultural colors of the Mong, Thai, and Kho Mu ethnic groups. At the same time, traditional cultural values are also included in extracurricular classes at high schools in the district to help ethnic minority students learn, get acquainted, and study.
