Experiences that last
Many people commented, some guessed this picture was in Phu Quoc because the sea water there is blue in a unique way, others commented that the other picture was in Nha Trang because the sand here is different from other places...
My friend did not share the “answer,” because what he meant was not an attempt to compare or clarify which sea was which.
“When we lack experiences close to nature, when we go to a tourist destination and just “crawl” into a closed resort, or some people just lie in their rooms playing with their phones, then any beach is the same as any other beach,” he shared with a smile.
My friend's thoughts are just personal, but they made me think about what really matters, what will remain with me when time passes.
Think back to a trip you took with your family or friends. You may not remember the details of the destination, but you will remember the laughter, the jokes, the funny stories, and even the unexpected mishaps.
These experiences can be cozy evenings by the fire, strolls through the streets, or chatting endlessly until late at night over a cup of coffee. It is the moments that make your trip memorable.
And then when you look back at your travel memories, you will realize that memories cannot be measured by money or the number of destinations you have “checked in”. Instead, they are measured by excitement, connection, and real experiences. And when you look at those measuring criteria, perhaps where you go is no longer so important.
Who is more important to go with?
As people often say, when it comes to eating, what you eat and where you eat it is not as important as who you eat it with. And the same goes for traveling. Where you go is not as important as who you go with.

If you go with the people closest and most important to you, I believe you just need a warm space - a place for you and them to share a very typical local dish, and experience peace and relaxation.
We often look for standout destinations and special activities when planning a trip, but sometimes the most precious moments come from the simple things.
When you are with the people who matter most to you, every moment becomes meaningful. A simple meal at a small roadside stall can become an “anchor” of memories, far beyond what a fancy restaurant or an expensive dish can provide.
Writing this, I suddenly remember the tourism trend that has been emerging strongly in recent years in many big cities in China, which is walking tours through the streets (city walk).
There, the appeal of the destinations is highlighted by the experiences of the tourists. The most interesting thing about these types of tours is the opportunity to experience the most simple things of life around.
Just go ahead and feel free to drop into any restaurant that interests you, or stop for a long time in front of a strange flower or tree shape that you have never seen in your area. Or simply watch a street vendor skillfully making circus-like food with his extremely skillful hands…
When you consider experiences more important than destinations, you can travel anywhere and still find the joy of discovery, even in places that seem very familiar.
Put the phone aside
Every journey will only be truly meaningful and memorable when we live it fully with all our emotions. No matter where you go, how much it costs, if you only worry about posing for virtual photos, or just try to go as fast, as much, to famous places to prove something, those trips will eventually "slip through your fingers".
Put electronic devices aside when not needed, live fully in the present, listen to the wind, smell a scent, you will find every journey becomes unforgettable in its own way.
