The experience lasts.
Many people commented, some guessing this picture was taken in Phu Quoc because the sea water there has a unique shade of blue, others guessing the other picture was from Nha Trang because the sand there is different from other places…
My friend didn't share the "answer," because what he wanted to say wasn't an attempt to compare or clarify which sea is which.
"When we lack close-to-nature experiences, when we go to a tourist destination and just 'hide' in a secluded resort, or even just lie in our rooms scrolling on our phones, then all beaches are the same," he shared with a laugh.
My friend's thoughts were just his personal perspective, but they prompted me to reflect on what truly matters, and what will remain with me as time passes.
Try to recall a trip you took with family or friends in the past. You may not remember every detail of the destination, but I'm sure you won't forget the smiles, the jokes, the funny stories, and even the unexpected mishaps.
Those experiences could be cozy evenings by the fireplace, leisurely strolls through the streets, or endless late-night conversations over a cup of coffee. It's these moments that make your trip memorable.
And then, looking back on your travel memories, you'll realize that memories can't be measured by money or the number of places you've "checked in." Instead, they're measured by excitement, connection, and the genuine experiences you've had. And when you consider those metrics, perhaps where you go isn't really that important anymore.
Who you go with is more important.
As the saying goes, when it comes to food, what you eat and where you eat isn't as important as who you eat with. And the same goes for travel. Where you go isn't as important as who you go with.

If you're traveling with your loved ones, I believe all you need is a warm and inviting space – a place where you and they can share a very special local dish and experience peace and tranquility together.
We often look for highlights and special activities when planning a trip, but sometimes, the most precious moments come from the simple things.
When you're with the people who matter most to you, every moment becomes meaningful. In such situations, a simple meal at a small roadside eatery can become a cherished memory, far surpassing what a fancy restaurant or an expensive dish can offer.
Writing this, I suddenly remembered a tourism trend that has been rapidly emerging in many major Chinese cities in recent years: city walk tours.
There, the appeal of the destinations is enhanced by the experiences of the travelers. The most interesting aspect of this type of tour is the opportunity to experience up close the most ordinary aspects of life around us.
Just go ahead, and feel free to stop at any eatery that interests you, or linger for a long time in front of a flower or unusual plant you've never seen before where you live. Or simply watch a street vendor skillfully preparing food with incredible artistry...
When you prioritize the experience over the destination, you can travel anywhere and still find the joy of discovery , even in places that seem very familiar.
Put your phone aside.
Every journey is only truly meaningful and memorable when we fully embrace it with all our emotions. No matter where you go or how expensive it is, if you're only preoccupied with posing for photos for social media, or just trying to travel quickly and visit famous places to show off, those trips will ultimately slip through your fingers.
Put aside electronic devices when not needed, live fully in the present moment, listen to the wind, smell a fragrance, and you will find that every journey becomes unforgettable in its own way.
