The Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that it is expected to announce the 2024 public 10th grade entrance exam scores tonight (June 29), earlier than previously scheduled (July 2).
Students and parents can look up their 10th grade entrance exam scores on the admissions portal of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, starting from 8:00 p.m. on June 29.
Candidates can look up Hanoi 10th grade exam scores for 2024-2025 in the following 2 ways:
First, look up the 10th grade entrance exam scores on Hanoi's primary school admissions website at:
https://tsdaucap.hanoi.gov.vn/tra-cuu-tuyen-sinh-10
The second way is to call the hotline 1080 to look up the 10th grade entrance exam scores by using the syntax: (Area code) 1080 and call.
According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, immediately after the scores are released, candidates who feel uncertain about the subject scores can apply for re-evaluation. The application must be submitted to the Department of Education and Training from July 3-9.
In 2024, about 133,000 students will graduate from grade 9, of which nearly 110,000 will register for the public grade 10 entrance exam. The number of students admitted to public schools is 81,000, equivalent to 61% of the total number of graduates.
According to regulations of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the calculation of entrance exam scores for grade 10 at non-specialized public high schools is as follows:
Admission score = (Math test score + Literature test score) x 2 + Foreign language test score + priority points (if any). In which, test scores of each subject are calculated on a 10-point scale.
Candidates who are admitted to their first choice will not be considered for the following choices. The admission scores for choices 2 and 3 must be 1 and 2 points higher than their first choice.
Hanoi Department of Education and Training only considers admission for students who have completed all required exams, have not violated exam regulations to the point of having their exam results canceled, and have not had any exams with a score of 0.
According to the previously announced plan, on July 5, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will hold a meeting to review the admission scores for grade 10 of non-specialized public high schools and specialized high schools and will announce the admission scores immediately afterwards.
From July 6 to July 9, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will announce the benchmark scores for grade 10 admission at schools.
From July 10 to 12, successful candidates confirm their enrollment. From July 17, schools that do not meet their enrollment quota will recruit additional students.
From July 19 to 22, candidates confirm additional admission; July 28, candidates receive review results at the department.
From July 28 to 30, schools will process student records after review, and successful candidates will confirm their enrollment.
From August 1 to 9, schools submit lists of admitted students to the department.
