This is the second announcement by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee in its plan to control and eventually end the measles outbreak throughout the city.

According to the decision of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, these localities have fully met the conditions of not recording any new cases for at least 21 consecutive days and have fully implemented measles prevention and control measures.
Thus, as of now, Ho Chi Minh City has 45 wards and communes that have been declared free of measles.
Given the population mobility and the ongoing measles outbreak in other provinces and cities, the Ho Chi Minh City health sector advises people not to be complacent and to continue implementing preventive measures, especially ensuring children receive all vaccinations according to the schedule.
