At the training conference on tutoring management software on the afternoon of April 11th, Mr. Ho Tan Minh stated that Ho Chi Minh City is a large urban area and traffic congestion frequently occurs during rush hour.
According to the Department of Education and Training's calculations, after school ends (around 4-5 PM), students need ample time to travel home, eat, rest, and then attend extra classes if needed. However, it is appropriate for all these activities to end before 8 PM.

According to Mr. Minh, many schools in Ho Chi Minh City currently teach in two sessions. Students are at school all day, so extra classes need to be moderate to ensure their health. Therefore, ending extra classes before 8 PM is reasonable so that students have time with their families.
The Chief of Staff of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training stated that the Department has researched and consulted with various departments, agencies, and experts, and found that prohibiting tutoring after 8 PM is appropriate. Therefore, the Department of Education and Training will submit this proposal to the City People's Committee.
Currently, Ho Chi Minh City has 1,300 tutoring centers with 3,300 registered teachers. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has launched a website to help parents search for all information about tutoring at https://dtht.hcm.edu.vn/.
According to statistics, 93% of primary, secondary, and high schools in Ho Chi Minh City now operate on a two-session-per-day schedule.
