Ho Chi Minh City leaders said that the establishment of specialized construction investment project management boards and land fund development centers to implement key projects according to Resolution 98 of the National Assembly.
Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai has just issued an urgent dispatch directing the Department of Transport to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, agencies and units to develop a Project to establish a specialized transport investment and construction project management board. According to Mr. Mai, the establishment of a new board aims to strengthen one more project management organization to implement key projects and large-scale projects in the transport sector in the city.
The Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City also assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, agencies and units to develop a project to establish a specialized PPP construction investment project management board to implement investment projects under the public-private partnership method in various fields in the city.
At the same time, the city leaders also assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, agencies and units to develop a Project to establish the Ho Chi Minh City Land Fund Development Center under the City People's Committee on the basis of reorganizing the Land Fund Development Center under the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; in which, the functions and tasks of this Center are added to implement TOD projects (urban development model oriented towards public transport development) in the city.
Mr. Mai requested that the project of the 2 specialized Boards and the Land Fund Development Center must be completed and submitted to the City People's Committee before November 30.
Previously, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai signed a decision to merge the Steering Committee for Administrative Reform, the Steering Committee for Digital Transformation and the Steering Committee for Project 06, into the Steering Committee for Administrative Reform, Digital Transformation and Project 06 of Ho Chi Minh City.
