The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City has just issued a document on rectifying the organization of collection, expenditure, fundraising and use of operating funds of the Parents' Representative Board.

According to the Department, there are still a few isolated cases in a few schools in the city where individual leaders and teachers do not clearly understand and do not properly organize and mobilize revenues and expenditures from funding sources. This has caused negative public opinion, affected the reputation of the industry and units, and caused misunderstandings for parents, which has been reported by the press in recent times.

The Department of Education and Training requires the leaders of the Department of Education and Training and the principals of schools that have been reported by public opinion and the press to review the responsibilities of individuals and heads of units to explain, analyze, determine specific responsibilities for violations in the process of organizing and implementing and propose strict handling measures. At the same time, schools have appropriate and timely disciplinary measures for cases where violations are identified, especially the responsibility of the heads of units for violations.

The Departments of Education and Training coordinate to inspect, supervise, and establish inspection teams for the revenue and expenditure situation at the beginning of the school year at affiliated schools, promptly correcting the situation of over-collection or illegal collection. There are strict sanctions for principals of educational institutions that collect and spend money in violation of regulations. The Department of Education and Training also assigns members to regularly monitor and handle feedback from parents and people about violations in the implementation of revenue, expenditure, and fundraising activities at the beginning of the school year.
