Tam Ky City established 4 commune-level administrative units of the city

(QNO) - This afternoon, April 23, the People's Council of Tam Ky City (term XII) held its 20th session to approve the policy of rearranging provincial and commune-level administrative units in the city; adjusting and supplementing the list of public investment projects.

Accordingly, the People's Council of Tam Ky City approved the policy of establishing Da Nang city on the basis of merging Quang Nam province (with a natural area of ​​10,574km2 ; population: 1,747,147 people) and Da Nang city (with a natural area of ​​1,292km2 ; population: 1,318,481 people).

After the merger, the new administrative unit was named Da Nang city; with a natural area of ​​11,867km2 and a population of 3,065,628 people. The political and administrative center of the new administrative unit after the arrangement was Da Nang city.

Regarding the merger of communes in the city, 4 commune-level administrative units were established, including Tam Ky ward (merging An My, An Xuan, Truong Xuan wards), Ban Thach ward (Tan Thanh ward, Hoa Thuan, Tam Thang commune), Quang Phu ward (An Phu ward, Tam Thanh, Tam Phu commune), Huong Tra ward (Hoa Huong, An Son and Tam Ngoc commune).

In addition, Tam Ky City People's Council also adjusted and supplemented the list of a number of medium-term public investment projects for the period 2021 - 2025 to implement the National Target Program on new rural construction in the city.
