Sam Son City strengthens management of accommodation business activities

Currently, the city has 624 tourist accommodation establishments, with a total of 17,354 rooms and 38,126 beds. Of these, 114 establishments have been rated stars according to regulations (accounting for 18.3%). In 2024 alone, the city inspected 392 establishments, thereby detecting and handling many violations such as: not declaring temporary residence, not posting prices, false advertising about star ratings, facilities not meeting registered standards...

The city is implementing management work synchronously, from raising awareness of facility owners to applying online accommodation management software, connecting databases of the police, cultural sector and market management. The City People's Committee has also issued a digital plan to tighten management of accommodation facilities, requiring wards, communes and related units to strengthen coordination, conduct periodic and surprise inspections. In addition, the city also promotes guidance and support for facilities to improve service quality, encourage star rating registration, price transparency and strict compliance with legal regulations on accommodation business.

With the drastic and synchronous participation of the government and the cooperation of the owners, accommodation activities in Sam Son are expected to develop more and more healthily, better serving the 2025 tourist season and the following years.
