Accordingly, Phong Dien town area: Arrange 12 communes and wards (6 communes, 6 wards) to establish 5 commune-level administrative units (5 wards, including merging 2 communes of Quang Cong and Quang Ngan of Quang Dien district).
Quang Dien district area: Arrange 11 administrative units to reorganize into 2 commune-level administrative units (Quang Thanh commune is expected to merge with Huong Phong ward, Thuan Hoa district; transfer 2 communes of Quang Cong and Quang Ngan to merge with Phong Hai ward, Phong Dien town).
Huong Tra town area: Arrange 9 existing administrative units (4 wards, 5 communes) into 3 commune-level administrative units (2 wards, 1 commune).
Phu Xuan District: Arrange 12 administrative units (12 wards) to establish 3 commune-level administrative units (3 wards); Huong Vinh ward merges with Huong Phong ward (Thuan Hoa district) and Quang Thanh commune (Quang Dien district).
Thuan Hoa District: Arrange 19 existing administrative units (19 wards) and Huong Vinh ward (Phu Xuan district), Quang Thanh commune (Quang Dien district), Phu My commune, Phu An commune, Phu Thuan commune, Phu Hai commune (Phu Vang district) to form 8 commune-level administrative units (8 wards).
Phu Vang district area: Arrange the remaining 10 administrative units (after merging 2 communes Phu My, Phu An with Phu Thuong ward) and 2 communes (Phu Thuan, Phu Hai with Thuan An ward) into 3 commune-level administrative units (3 communes).
Huong Thuy town area: Arrange 10 existing administrative units (5 wards, 5 communes) into 3 commune-level administrative units (3 wards).
Phu Loc district area: Arrange 27 administrative units (23 communes, 4 towns) to form 8 commune-level administrative units (8 communes).
A Luoi district area: Arrange 18 administrative units (17 communes, 1 town) into 5 commune-level administrative units (5 communes).
Hue City is vigorously implementing the Project to rearrange and reorganize communal-level administrative units on a comprehensive scale, in order to concretize the conclusions of the Politburo and the Secretariat and implement Resolution No. 60-NQ/TW of the 13th Party Central Committee. This is a strategic step towards building a streamlined, modern, effective and efficient administration, suitable for the two-level local government model.
Hue City plans to collect public opinions from April 19 to 22. On that basis, the City People's Committee will continue to complete the Project to submit to the Standing Committee and the City Party Executive Committee before April 25, 2025; and submit to competent authorities afterwards.
