Ho Chi Minh City recruits more than 70,000 students to public grade 10

The total enrollment target for grade 10 of 115 public high schools in Ho Chi Minh City is 70,070 students.

The Department of Education and Training (DET) of Ho Chi Minh City has just announced the enrollment quota for grade 10 of 115 public high schools.

Accordingly, the total enrollment target for grade 10 of 115 public high schools is 70,070 students.

Of which, 110 high schools under the Department of Education and Training have a quota of 68,830 for grade 10.

In 5 high schools, multi-level general schools affiliated with universities, universities recruit 1,240 grade 10 students.

According to statistics, Mac Dinh Chi High School (District 6) has the highest enrollment quota for grade 10 with 1,060 students. Next is Hung Vuong High School (District 5) with 1,035 quotas; Marie Curie High School (District 3) with 1,000 quotas.

Some high schools have a quota of over 900 students for grade 10: Tay Thanh High School (Tan Phu District), Truong Chinh High School (District 12), Tran Hung Dao High School (Go Vap District), Nguyen Trung Truc High School (Go Vap District) and Gia Dinh High School (Binh Thanh District).

The 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City takes place on June 6-7. Candidates can register for a maximum of 8 wishes, including 3 wishes for regular 10th grade, 2 wishes for specialized 10th grade and 3 wishes for integrated 10th grade.

To take the 10th grade entrance exam, candidates are required to take three subjects: Literature, Math and Foreign Language. Candidates who register for the specialized 10th grade will take an additional specialized subject.

The four schools enrolling the least, under 100 students, are Thanh An Secondary and High School (Can Gio district), Vietnam-Australia International High School, Vietnam-Finland International School and Olympic Sports Gifted High School.

This school year, there are 2 high schools enrolling specialized 10th graders: Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (805 targets) and Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted (455 targets).

Schools enrolling in grade 10 integrated English program include: Nguyen Huu Huan High School (Thu Duc City), Bui Thi Xuan High School (District 1), Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School (District 1), Luong The Vinh High School (District 1), Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School (District 3), Mac Dinh Chi High School (District 6), Nguyen Thuong Hien High School (Tan Binh District), Gia Dinh High School (Binh Thanh District), Phu Nhuan High School (Phu Nhuan District).
