Ho Chi Minh City organizes exhibition "Echoes of the Great Victory of Spring 1975 in Cinema"

This is the information announced by the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City at the socio-economic press conference held on the afternoon of April 24.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, aiming to widely promote the significance, stature and great historical value of the 1975 Spring General Offensive and Uprising, culminating in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign.

Thereby, popularizing the historical and cultural values ​​of archived documents and cinematographic materials through works, clips, images, film materials, etc. to the general public, in order to arouse and promote the tradition of patriotism, revolutionary heroism, and the will to fight and win of our nation in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Within the framework of Vietnam Film Week, the theme of commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City in coordination with the Vietnam Film Institute will organize a public film screening program at Nguyen Hue walking street (District 1).

Accordingly, at 7:30 p.m. on April 27 and 28, at the exhibition area and outdoor stage on Nguyen Hue walking street, there will be exchange programs with film experts and public screenings of the following films: Wild Fields; City at Dawn; meeting the film crew of Tunnels - Sun in the Dark by director Bui Thac Chuyen.

According to the Organizing Committee, the above activities are important and outstanding highlights in the series of cultural and sports activities responding to the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day; together with the series of activities with the theme "Colors of Uncle Ho's City", it is an opportunity for Ho Chi Minh City to proudly introduce to domestic and international friends a dynamic, creative, and unique urban area - a place where national spirit and aspirations for the future converge.
