Ho Chi Minh City arranges effective and efficient apparatus

On the afternoon of February 20, the 21st session (special session) of the 10th term Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, term 2021 - 2026 opened to decide on urgent issues of the city. Including considering the plan to rearrange the city's apparatus.

Accordingly, urgently review and decide on urgent issues to approve the contents of implementing the plan to arrange and streamline the organization of the city's political system in accordance with the direction of Resolution No. 18 and the practical requirements of the City.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le added that the City People's Council also considered and decided on Resolutions to remove difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing policies, promoting resources, "creating new development space" to successfully implement the theme of 2025: "Focusing on arranging a streamlined - compact - strong - efficient - effective - efficient apparatus.

In addition, it is necessary to remove difficulties to promote digital transformation, implement Resolution No. 98; fundamentally resolve the city's problems and backlogs" and Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels.

Also at the meeting, the People's Council reviewed and commented on the reports on the establishment of specialized agencies under the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. The report stipulates additional support for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers when implementing the organization, restructuring, and arrangement of administrative units at all levels of the political system in the city. The report on adjusting Resolution 18, No. 78 of 2023 on the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of administrative organizations and public service units under the People's Committee of Thu Duc City....

The People's Council also discussed proposals to develop Resolutions related to economic , budgetary, cultural and social fields such as: Approving the investment policy for existing BOT road infrastructure projects according to Resolution No. 98 to speed up the implementation of key projects; Resolution on special policies to support tuition fees for preschool children under 5 years old, high school students in the 2025-2026 school year;...
