A teacher at Chuong Duong Primary School, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, who asked parents for money to buy a laptop was warned; at the same time, this teacher was assigned to be in charge of educational affairs until the end of the school year.
Regarding the incident of a teacher asking parents for financial support to buy a laptop, on October 19, information from the Department of Education and Training of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, said that Ms. TPH, homeroom teacher of class 4/3, head of grade 4, Chuong Duong Primary School, was disciplined with a warning.
At the same time, the school will assign this teacher to be in charge of academic affairs from October 21 until the end of the 2024-2025 school year.
As previously reported, many parents of class 4/3 at Chuong Duong Primary School, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, reported that Ms. TPH, the homeroom teacher of this class, asked parents to support money to buy personal computers.
After receiving disagreement from all the parents of the class about supporting her with a laptop, Ms. TPH made inappropriate comments that upset the parents and the public.
Regarding this incident, on September 30, Chuong Duong Primary School decided to temporarily suspend Ms. TPH from work for 15 days to verify and clarify the complaint, stabilize the situation of parents and students while considering disciplinary action.
To ensure the best learning conditions for students, the Board of Directors of Chuong Duong Primary School has assigned Ms. Dinh Thi Kim Thoa, Vice Principal of the school, to be in charge of class 4/3 from October 1./.
The Board of Directors of Chuong Duong Primary School unanimously assigned Ms. Dinh Thi Kim Thoa, Vice Principal of the school, to replace Ms. Truong Phuong Hanh in charge of teaching class 4/3 on the morning of October 1.
