Among the 263 outstanding young people attending the congress, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union awarded certificates of merit to 55 exemplary delegates. Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Phuoc Loc and Head of the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Manh Cuong came to congratulate the exemplary young people attending the congress.
Role model values for young people
Mr. Ngo Minh Hai, permanent deputy secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, said the congress has spread and raised awareness of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, affirming the determination of Ho Chi Minh City's youth in building and protecting the city and the country.
Mr. Hai said that the Youth Union chapters at all levels in Ho Chi Minh City have recently actively implemented Ho Chi Minh Cultural Spaces, with more than 18,500 projects following Uncle Ho's teachings, contributing to spreading his ideological, moral and style values among young people.
263 advanced youth delegates in 2024 are typical examples among more than 74,000 typical examples that have been recognized by all levels as "Advanced youth following Uncle Ho's teachings".
"These are model values that the city's youth are striving to achieve. Each example is a simple story with profound meaning, a normal action with great inspiration from each progressive youth brought to the congress," said Mr. Hai.

Need dedication and creativity of youth
Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Manh Cuong assessed that the commended examples are vivid manifestations of creative ways of doing things, effective models that have been widely replicated in organizing and implementing the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.
"The city leaders respectfully acknowledge, appreciate and commend the achievements and results that the progressive youth delegates following Uncle Ho's teachings in particular and the city's youth in general have continuously strived, trained and contributed in the past time," said Mr. Cuong.
The Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission emphasized that the tasks and development directions of Ho Chi Minh City until 2030, with a vision to 2045, continue to affirm that it is the driving force and locomotive in the role of a major center.
To successfully do that requires the participation of responsible dedication, dynamism, creativity and enthusiasm of the youth. The vivid reality, opportunities and challenges in the development of the city are the environment, training conditions and challenges for each young person.
Immediately after the congress, the Youth Union - Association - Pioneers at all levels will continue to conduct in-depth research on topics of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.
At the same time, deploy the political activity "Remembering Uncle Ho makes our hearts brighter" on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament (1969 - 2024) along with many meaningful volunteer works and projects.
Delegates and young people planted the square-leafed banyan tree donated by Truong Sa cadres and soldiers at the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union headquarters (District 1) right after the congress ended.
