According to the leader of the Department of Education and Training, based on Circular 29/2024 of the Ministry of Education and Training regulating the management of extra teaching and learning activities, the Department has developed software to manage extra teaching and learning activities and deployed it to units with the name: Extra teaching and learning management software. The software includes the following main functions: Managing information about tutoring facilities, teachers, students, classes, tuition fees, etc. Statistics and reports on tutoring and learning activities. Supporting the inspection of tutoring and learning activities. Providing and publicizing information according to the regulations of tutoring facilities.
According to the Department of Education and Training of the City, the deployment of software to manage tutoring and learning aims to unify the management of tutoring and learning activities in the city. Increase transparency and publicity in tutoring and learning activities. Support the management, monitoring, statistics, and reporting of tutoring and learning activities. Create favorable conditions for students and parents to access information about tutoring and learning activities.
Deploying software to unify management of extra teaching and learning activities in Ho Chi Minh City

High schools, general schools with multiple levels (including high school level), units under the Department of Education and Training are responsible for reviewing and supplementing complete data according to the provisions of Decision 1230 of the Department of Education and Training, especially teaching assignment data. Manage extra teaching inside and outside the school on the City's extra teaching and learning information portal.
In particular, tutoring establishments receive accounts and passwords at the People's Committee of the ward/commune/town where they register their business in accordance with regulations. Enter complete and accurate information about the tutoring and learning activities of the unit according to regulations.
Publicly disclose information about extra teaching and learning activities on the city's extra teaching and learning management website and publicly disclose it at extra teaching locations in accordance with regulations. Responsible for managing, exploiting and securing information on the software.

The department is seeking opinions from departments and education experts on the regulation that after 8 p.m., extra teaching and learning activities cannot be organized. Mr. Minh explained that during rush hour, Ho Chi Minh City often has traffic jams, so it is necessary to calculate so that students have enough time to eat and travel to extra teaching facilities after finishing afternoon classes at school. At the same time, the regulation must also ensure that the extra teaching and learning time for students is about 1.5 hours or more.
"Many students have already studied two sessions at school, so extra classes should be completed before 8 p.m. so that they can go home to rest and talk with their parents and grandparents. The Department of Education and Training will continue to collect opinions before submitting to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee," said Mr. Minh.
