Ho Chi Minh City inspects numerous schools regarding extracurricular tutoring.

On the afternoon of March 13th, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training issued a detailed plan for inspecting the management of extracurricular tutoring in Ho Chi Minh City.

Specifically, from March 17th to March 31st, inspection teams from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training will conduct on-site inspections of extracurricular tutoring at the Thu Duc City Department of Education and Training and 21 districts and 16 high schools across the city. Each district will be inspected for one day.

Each Department of Education and Training selected one primary school and one secondary school; Thu Duc City, however, selected two primary schools and two secondary schools.

As for high schools, the Department will conduct inspections at 16 schools, including: Ernst Thälmann (District 1); Nguyen Thi Dieu (District 3); Ngo Quyen (District 7); Luong Van Can (District 8); Nguyen Du (District 10); Hung Vuong (District 5); Binh Chanh (Binh Chanh District); Mac Dinh Chi (District 6); Tran Phu (Tan Phu District); Phu Nhuan (Phu Nhuan District); Tran Van Giau (Binh Thanh District); Tran Hung Dao (Go Vap District); Ho Thi Bi (Hoc Mon District); Vo Truong Toan (District 12); Thu Duc (Thu Duc City); and Duong Van Thi (Thu Duc City).

According to Nguyen Van Hieu, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, the inspection will cover: the direction and management of the Department of Education and Training; the implementation at educational institutions of Circular 29 and the Prime Minister's directive in Official Dispatch No. 10/CĐ-TTg dated February 7, 2025, on strengthening the direction of secondary school and high school enrollment and managing extracurricular tutoring activities within their respective jurisdictions and responsibilities…

Also this March, the Ministry of Education and Training plans to inspect the implementation of Circular 29 on supplementary teaching and learning in the city (the Ministry will directly inform the Department of Education and Training of the exact time).

The Ministry's inspection team will conduct on-site inspections at the Department of Education and Training, several district-level education and training offices, and a number of general education institutions.

The Ministry will inspect the guidance and management work of the Department of Education and Training, the Education and Training Divisions, and the implementation at educational institutions regarding Circular No. 29 and the Prime Minister 's directive in Official Dispatch No. 10 on strengthening guidance on secondary and high school enrollment and managing extracurricular tutoring activities within their respective jurisdictions and responsibilities.
