Ho Chi Minh City proposes fireworks display at 2 locations on New Year's Eve 2024

To serve the entertainment needs of the people and tourists, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just sent a document to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for consideration and submission to the Prime Minister for approval for Ho Chi Minh City to set off fireworks on the occasion of New Year's Eve 2024.

Specifically, a high-altitude fireworks display at the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel, Thu Duc City. A low-altitude fireworks display at Dam Sen Cultural Park, District 11.

Shooting time is 15 minutes, from 0:00 to 0:15 on January 1, 2024, using socialized funding.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, this activity aims to spread a joyful and exciting atmosphere to welcome the new year 2024, serving the entertainment and spiritual needs of people and tourists.

Previously, to celebrate the 78th National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2023), Ho Chi Minh City organized a high-altitude fireworks display at one location, the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel (Thu Thiem ward, Thu Duc city) with 1,500 high-altitude fireworks, 30 low-altitude fireworks and 10 pyrotechnic fireworks.

At the same time, Ho Chi Minh City will fire low-altitude fireworks at one location, Dam Sen Cultural Park (Ward 3, District 11), with 90 low-altitude fireworks, 30 pyrotechnic fireworks, and 1,000 low-altitude and pyrotechnic tubes.
