Initial information said that the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health received a report that the health consulting clinic of Whitecoat Vietnam Company Limited had signs of falsifying cancer screening test papers for some customers of a business in Hanoi.
Therefore, the Inspector of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health suddenly inspected this clinic at the address 7th floor, HB Tower building, 669 Dien Bien Phu, Ward 25, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City.
This is a health consulting clinic with Dr. NLMH as the person responsible for technical expertise licensed by the Department of Health, the investor is Whitecoat Vietnam Co., Ltd., with a business registration certificate issued in 2022.
In addition, this company also has a branch in Hanoi at 63 Minh Khai, Minh Khai ward, Hai Ba Trung district.
This clinic operates under a contract to provide periodic health check-up coordination services. Accordingly, WhiteCoat Company signs contracts with units that need health check-ups for employees, then cooperates with qualified hospitals and clinics to perform the service. After receiving the results, WhiteCoat is the unit that synthesizes and returns the results to the partner.
At the meeting, WhiteCoat Company admitted to having signed a contract to distribute testing services with a company specializing in genetic testing in Ho Chi Minh City. However, this unit said that it had only performed one sample under the contract with WhiteCoat, and affirmed that the remaining samples were fake.
Immediately after discovering the incident, the testing company sent an open letter and a contract termination document, requesting WhiteCoat to immediately stop all acts of falsifying test results.
Explaining to the inspection team, Ms. NPH - Director of WhiteCoat Company - said that the falsification of test results was an individual act of the staff in charge of the bidding package at the Hanoi branch, not due to the direction of the board of directors. The company is currently conducting an internal review to clarify responsibilities and protect the rights of partners.
Faced with the behavior showing signs of violating the law, directly affecting people's health, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has transferred the entire case to the Ho Chi Minh City Police for investigation. At the same time, the department also sent a written report to the Ministry of Health for monitoring and direction of further handling.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health affirmed that falsifying genetic test papers is a serious act, not only violating the law but also threatening public health, and needs to be strictly handled according to current regulations.
