According to records, dense fog appeared in most districts in Ho Chi Minh City and covered high-rise buildings and residential areas. This phenomenon was especially dense in riverside and canal areas.
According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, in recent days, Ho Chi Minh City has had rain and high humidity. In addition, weak winds retain water vapor at low altitudes, combined with dust already suspended in the air, condensing into fog.

Coinciding with the appearance of this smog, an international air quality monitoring organization warned of heavy air pollution levels in the country's largest city.
Accordingly, many areas in the city have red air quality measuring points (harmful to health). These measuring points are in Thu Duc city, Binh Tan, Go Vap districts, Binh Chanh, Hoc Mon districts, etc.
Today, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts that the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and the South will be cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms. The lowest temperature will range from 23-26 degrees Celsius and the highest from 31-34 degrees Celsius.
It is forecasted that in the late afternoon and evening of the same day, the South will have showers and thunderstorms, locally with moderate to heavy rain with rainfall of 10-30mm, in some places over 60mm.
